I’m not, what I’m saying is Top would be better if he took on board the criticism, and put people around him that are capable of running a football club. The other option is to sell, because it’s clearly Top is incapable of running the club on his own.

The club has been on a spiral of failure since that European semifinal he mentioned, with the second Championship win being built largely on a very well-paid, expensively assembled squad that was far too good for the division and should never have been relegated. 

There's nothing to even praise about us being in that 'European semi-final'. Like everything else in that era, we bottled the Europa League to end up there.

 

Nothing against the Conference League and I'd bite your hand off to be there again today, but it's bootlicking revisionism to view that Roma game as anything other than symptomatic of the rot after the FA Cup win.

I said at the time that our very presence in the UECL was the product of two failures.

 

Failure to qualify for the Champions League when it was well within our grasp, and failure to qualify from a group that was eminently winnable in the Europa League. Spaffing a two goal home lead against Napoli, losing at Legia Warsaw when they were struggling in the Polish league and failing to beat a Spartak Moscow side at home when they were so wretched that Patson Daka managed to bag four against them in their own backyard.

 

But even that would have been forgivable if we'd gone on to win the Conference League. But a gutless performance in Rome put paid to that after there was at least some effort at home. And we could have gone on to beat Feyenoord as well to secure UEL qualification as a consolation. Instead, spineless performance before a disastrous season.

People voicing their concerns about how poorly the club is being managed absolutely is about people who care, whether you agree or disagree about how it’s being done, once thing that cannot be levelled at anyone wanting to protest is that they don’t care.

The club is more financially stable than we’ve ever been. 
 

We have one of the best Training Grounds in the country. 
 

We have a very good academy team. 
 

The results on the pitch are shocking, nobody is denying this, but let’s not act like we’re going bust, we’re in a bad period.
