Anyone know if Freemans common will be open to fans today. Last few seasons its been closed around this sort of date for uni open days etc. Thanks!

I think the open day was on the 13th.

Not sure if theres more, but was definitely 13th as saw the signage.

Yup - i parked at Saffron Lane in the end but their weren't many spots left. I got into Freemans common but they asked me to leave when they saw what i was wearing.

I really wish the Uni would put something on the parking page when they are going to close it to Football fans. Freemans common is listed as one of the parking spots on the club website.

Freeman's common really has become mental to get away from. Think it's become worse since the road opened both ends at the bottom. Never been a smooth get away don't get me wrong but definitely become harder

I got late up so I already anticipated parking at the top of Freeman's but instead had to go find parking and paid a tenner. This is why I hate university lol

It's really stupid because I might be wrong Freeman's has had events whilst football has been on at same time no? I was half thinking next time there's an event I'm just gonna say I'm in uni and see where the winds takes us

If you're arriving that early then free parking at the top of Saffron Lane will be available for quick get away down Saffron Lane, Aylestone Road or towards town.

The only issue you'll probably have midweek is being in the bus lane before 6pm - I'm unsure how early people start parking down there midweek but its a good 3 hours or so on a Saturday.

Hello! I'm coming in from the US and looking to finally see a game in person: Portsmouth at home on the 18th. I'll be driving in from Cambridge. Is parking best at the stadium, Saffron Lane or ?

Cheers All!

Parking at the stadium is fine if you’re not in a rush and want to get there early. They lock the car parks for a good 45 mins after final whistle and close the road around 45 mins before KO.

Id'  park in the Highcross(Pretty much centre of the city) and have a walk round if you are coming all that way!Loads to see in the City.....Clock tower,New Walk museum,Jewery Wall....and.....that's about it!......but to be honest if you don't live in Leicester it isn't a bad morning out.

Walk through the Lanes, as it's on the way, get a pint down round the Pocklington's Walk area, then once you're at the uni just carry on to the ground.

Ain't a bad city really, people just love talking it down for their own reasons.

Just to Add....just follow the Blue Shirts to get to you to the ground!Theres not much around there, but it isn't much of a walk back into the City Centre.

Hello - My wife is coming into Leicester on Sunday morning with kids. Which car park is better for parent and child parking? Highcross john Lewis or highcross rooftop. Will be arriving at around 10am, so availability of spaces is important as is ease of access. She has a big car and struggles with High kerbs and tight access lanes. Thanks... ps. I normally use tigers when coming for football,  but that is too far out.
