Extremely frustrating that there is another 2 week long wait without a league game and it's not even a international break.

I know the game against Everton won't mean anything aside from maybe giving us a bit of momentum, but the way the league is run is like it's Sunday League.

I can’t recall if we (Loughborough Foxes) were tier 3 or 4 at the time but there was a season when the league fixtures were announced and included a round of matches on the same weekend that every team in the division entered the FA Cup.

There was also, and I think still is, an insistence on playing a couple of rounds of midweek matches at that level when the small league sizes mean there are plenty of weekends to spare.  That can be difficult for players who have full time jobs.

It’s always been a case of lionesses led by donkeys.

I spoke to a colleague who takes her daughters to lcfc womens games. When she heard Aisha lehmann won the player of the year, just said it was a joke...  labelled as overated and heart not in the club. To prove her case she said the game against her old club Villa, walked straight over to their fans talking and having selfies with them rather than coming to her own fans.

There’s a disabled lad who follows the Villa and is her biggest fan, she makes her way to him every time she sees him. Could be that?

No one they brought in improved the team. Lehmann wasn’t playing in the Italian league, Neville was finished at Spurs yet deemed a starter for us. Even the likes of CJ Bott are an upgrade on Neville and Mayling. Strong Villa connection with most of the players brought in, Liv, Lehmann also ex Villa and Neville is a brummie. You can pin it all on Billiard.

What we will get

Will only need one block, televised and early kick off in London, can’t see anymore than 250 going unless they lay on free coaches.

Never rated her as a player, pointless signing as she’s no better than Shannon, Missy or Cain down the flanks but that’s not her fault, it’s on Billiard.

She used to run past fans after games to get to her car or maybe do one or two photos and that was it, saw her at LCFC v Villa played at Burton a couple of years back and she did one photo and went straight onto the coach.

She is reportedly a really nice person, no ego and gets on with her team mates, according to Passmoor she works the hardest in training, always last to leave.
Did hear that she has offered:/given the POTS award to the player in second place, club insisted she was pictured with it to honour the vote.

Allocation - 2,000 (incl 3 wheelchair spaces). Wow, really pushed the disability boat out. :appl:

[Joke about there already being 11 disabled people on the pitch]

Not a bad first half, we have a bit more going forward and looking positive.

We are a bit obvious in what we are trying to do on each attack, it's always route one to the wings, need to change it up.

We do just lack a bit of control and muscle in the middle of the field.

Get Draper on for 15mins we might need her next week

Might need her next season, let along next week.

Haven't been able to watch the 2nd half, but disappointing to concede last minute. Hopefully our performance didn't jump off a cliff in the 2nd half?

It wasn’t great especially as Everton had a tough away game on Wednesday against Arsenal where they had to work bloody hard to keep it 1:0.

Our energy levels should have been much higher & we should have worked them to the point of exhaustion but we didn’t & then to concede at last knockings isn’t what they needed going into the game of their lives.

I hope Draper hangs around regardless of the division but if fit enough she should have been given 10-15mins just to prove to herself that she’s over her injuries more than anything.

You would think that with the results we have been getting that they would have binned Rick Pissmoor before now . High time he'd gone.

Boooo wanted Draper

she's young and inexperienced as we've seen with Las this season she may as well not exist to Passmoor

Unfortunately with Las, she's not really fared any better on loan, pretty much just limited to substitution appearances for a really poor Ipswich side. If she can't get in the starting 11 there, I'm worried...

Just noticed that it looks as though the WSL is losing it's appeal. Quite a few of the better players from Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City are leaving there respective clubs at the end of this season.

This may give some  of the other teams a chance to actually win something.

More a case of contracts ending and the clubs moving on rather than the league losing its appeal.

Arsenal look like recruiting Stanway, Batlle and Çerçi among others.  None of their outgoings are of that quality.  Chelsea are only losing Kerr who has barely played in the last couple of years and will turn 33 around the start of next season.  Man City might lose Bunny Shaw, but if she does leave she'll most likely go to Chelsea so won't be lost to the league.  Barcelona are struggling financially so there's a decent chance one or two of their players move to the WSL.

I doubt they bothered making sure she'd play, like took the first loan offer that came in, we saw how good she can be last season, given what we've ended up with we should have kept Miquel

On a 3 year contract, so more money down the drain regardless of whether we pay off or keep.

He has completely disregarded the younger players, I know Nelly was told she wasn’t part of the plans very early on, same with Sherwood. He also held back Katie Keane who appears to be performing really well but has only got in to the side due to injuries. Hardly used Missy Goodwin, not really used Mouchon much either. The likes of Sammy Kaczmar I’ve no idea where she is, and yesterday was a perfect opportunity to give Denny 20 minutes too. He’s even dropped young Liv McLoughlin when she was doing well.

Not sure where Lehmann and Neville were yesterday but it’s baffling how he’s hasn’t had more faith in these younger players, 11 goals in 22 games is horrific and it was crying out for something new, but he chose to sign average performing bigger name players in the window and persist with the likes of Cain who hasn’t scored a single goal all season. Van Egmond was also a really poor signing that he seems to still rate. Aileen Whelan retired 2 seasons ago and was still better than Van Egmond.

Whatever happens next week, it’s time Passmoor was booted, no identity, no idea, no investment in youth even when things were clearly not working week in week out, and negative set ups, still doesn’t know his best eleven.

Leicester confirmed as one of the 8 teams in the next World 7s on May 28th to 30th. The other 7 are all WSL.  Strange timing just before World Cup qualifiers.  $500k for the winners.  It will be on Sky.
