Find it scandalous that they charge the same amount in the pub for pints of these than for proper pints. I just have soft drinks when I'm not drinking tbh.

Diddy back to baby oil freak off parties then? Basically the most serious  charges he was found not guilty of.

Wow.

Post totally makes sense in the non alcoholic beer thread.

I think you should get some baby oil

This is the one. Best I've tried.

Special mention as cheap option from Aldi.

drove to a family party recently & tried these Pilsner from Aldi.
thought they were decent.
About £3.25 for 6. Bargain.

Drank Baveria bottles when my mrs was 9 months pregnant so was ready to drive.
They tasted good too.

They are a brilliant option to the point I dont feel like I'm missing out if I have to stick on them like when I'm driving.

The crazy advancements a few years ago seem to have stunted in the past 18 months. Was hoping that trajectory would keep going to close the gap between beers or non alcoholic, as much as possible anyway.

For me I max out at about 4 non alcoholic before they get too gassy or too sweet in the case of Guinness 0%.

As mentioned above the price is generally the same so no incentive unless you have to go non alcoholic

Pubs and bars etc are profiteering if they sell non alcohol products at the same price as alcohol drinks.

ABV % is taxable and the higher the percentage the more it costs to buy.

Price matching 0 % with 4.5% or above should be illegal.

I’ve been on non alcoholic beers for a number of months now. To contradict everybody else I don’t like the Guinness 0, it’s just a touch too sweet and it leaves a bad after taste after half of one to me. I like the corona bottles and the little Heineken cans. They are a godsend in the heat. Being a recovering alcoholic I don’t know if they are good long term, in regards to staying sober, but for now when the urge comes of a

sunny evening they are an absolute god send, the not getting drunk and escaping reality part is a bit rubbish at the time, but when it’s past and you realise you don’t feel like the world is closing in it’s a great feeling. I’ll knock them on the head at some point and go for a healthier drink, water and smoothies, but for now it is keeping the demons at bay.

I don’t think they are too bad, the fermentation process means you are getting some good gut bacteria and ingredients are minimal. Better off having. a non alcoholic beer than a smoothie with 20grams of sugar immediately being absorbed by your blood stream flooding the liver

I’ve been alcohol free for nearly 6 years now and even in that time the quality and variety has improved considerably.  Guinness 0.0 is probably the nearest to the original but I think  that is because it is a touch sweet anyway.  Our Golf Club has recently started selling Heineken 0.0 on draft which is much better than the canned or bottled stuff as it actually feels like a proper pint.  They are selling loads of it too.

My biggest wish is for someone to work out how to make alcohol free wine.  Some of the fizzy stuff is just about drinkable if it is well chilled but I haven’t found a red that isn’t stupidly sweet and has no body.
