Based on what out of interest?

What would the increase be for / what would the reduction be for? That’s an impossible formula isn’t it?

When I first had my season ticket,  it was the cost of around 14/15 Premier League matchday tickets.  This season I'd be doing well to attend more than 8/9 Champioship games for the price of my season ticket.  So you see ST have see very little increae in that time(15 years),  that is not the same for matchday prices.  The efect of this is that many season tickets go unused for for a number of games as  ST holders don't feel they need to attend all the games to get their monies worth.

I really do not get that argument you want people who go 90% or more to pay more to subsidise those who go once or twice a season? You reward loyalty not pander to casuals.

I agree that loyalty should be rewarded but their has to be a balance.  This season I could barely get 8/9 matchday tickets for the prices of my ST,  that is over rewarding ST holders to the cost of those that cannot get a ST.

How about they reduce the price of the individual tickets instead of increase ST prices you absolute melt!?

The playing squad has to be funded in some way,  so that would reduce the clubs prospects of footballing success.

PS Not need for the personal insults we are entitled to an opinion,  if that makes be a melt then so be it.

Should be on your account when you click on your name in the top right and click season ticket. Should be a download button

I have brought myself and my 2 lads season tickets however it will only let me download mine. Have emailed club for assistance - No response. Any tips ?

Hmm, I’m in the same boat and have downloaded mine but my direct debit pays for my sons too. My son could register in his own right to the App but how does he then navigate to his ticket to download it?

Which App are you talking about here.

Last season and you won't no until the first game but if they are using the same technology as last (static qr) then you can just screenshot it and send it as a picture to who ever you like.

To screenshot just turn off NFC and the QR code will appear on your ticket. Screenshot that and send it.

It's worked for the past few seasons with no problem what so ever

The only way it doesn't work is if they have changed to 'live QR'

This must be a wind up. But if not, a 10% increase in all ticket revenue would pay our wage bill (not even any transfer fees) for approximately 6 days.

KPFC will continue to think they must do their bit though. Why don't we increase the price of shirts etc. too, that'll help increase our chances of promotion surely?!

No need to turn of NFC.

Open your season ticket in your wallet, little circle with dots inside, top right of your screen, press that, then press ‘pass details’,

QR code is then on your screen, it’s a back up if the NFC in the top of your phone doesn’t work.

No idea if it’s live QR though.

Downloaded my two last week, much prefer the digital tickets as I can’t go every game, passing around a bit of plastic for entry to an event is insane in these days. There are loads of exemptions if you still want a plastic ticket. Kids, old people, registered disability or go to the club with an old phone and tell them this is your only phone. They’ve made it really simple.

This is not the place for a debate on the clubs accounts,  though if matchday revenue was no concern then why not let everyone in for nothing.   I was simply advocating for a cost neutral way of being fairer to all fans.  A  20% decrease in matchday ticket prices would only require around a 3% increase in ST prices.  The knock on effect would be to increase turn over of ST holders which is required in my view to ensure we have a fan base going forward.

If you don’t own a mobile phone or one that isn’t a smart phone, you can apply for an exception

All over 65’s automatically qualify for an exception but still had to apply for a card and don’t get it automatically, we fear some ST holders will not have realised this and will assume their card from last season will work.

Any issues at the Sheff Weds game, please let us know

Does being tech idiot who has no idea how it works qualify you for a card?

In my phone (android)  I get a message saying that screenshot is disabled for security reasons when NFC is turned on.

You sure about that?    I would expect them to say "Tough. You'll need a new phone".     (or words to that effect)

For sure. But it’s also a pre-paid loyalty scheme, clubs often need that money upfront to pay for X,Y,Z.

I don’t go that often as I’m up in Glasgow but I don’t think as a club we are at the stage where we have such a significant waiting list for tickets (there won’t be one) that the “match day revenue ceiling” is maxed out enough to change anything like that.

Not done it myself but anecdotally heard of >5 who have. They’ve gone to the KP and literally presented their non-smart phones, and been given a plastic card.

It is not pre paid, we season ticket holders have the option of paying monthly at no additional cost.  Season tickets sell out every year, including this one!, with a significant number of applications being unsuccesful. However match day tickets are not regularly selling out.  This would lead the economist in me (I am no expert) to believe that ST prices are lower than the market can take and match tickets  higher.

I pre-pay ours. I would think there will be a significant shift in ticket sales / patterns moving forwards if we don’t go up. You only have to look at the lack of away sales so far to see the club have lost their hardcore of fans. Also the amount of people that didn’t renew.

I can’t see any justification for increasing or decreasing any tickets.

The issue is that the club have never done anything to attract new fans apart from rely on their on field exploits, and as I mentioned when I joined this platform, that’s all ok until you can’t guarantee a 1-0 win every week!! Then, at some point (definitely now) it will come and bite you in the arse. If we don’t go up again, then next season I would anticipate everyone could probably have a lie down at games and still have enough room.

So my two kids were young enough to keep their physical cards and a new one even came in the post for the one who had changed age bands…. I’m confused though as in my account I have the option to “Download” the season ticket for each of us but also on the details page it shows the 3 numbers for our physical cards.  Is this the same for everyone?  Will my physical card still work…?  Maybe it always had the download option, can’t remember.

hi, the kids ones definitely will but will my adult one work still?  Be great if it will, just risks me being the idiot blocking the turnstiles if it doesn’t :)

To avoid any doubt

According to the club last seasons adult card won’t work, if you fall into any of the exceptions you will need a new card for next season

previous seasons the option to download has been available even if you had a card, so if you are entitled to a card next season it’s not strange to also have a download option

I’ve downloaded mine without issue but I still think it’s a bit of a joke and there should be the option for anyone who wants a card regardless of their reasoning.
