Hi all,

Need some advice on the new season ticket system. I previously shared my season ticket with my brother, much easier in the past life of the hard copy tickets.

Now moving into electronic ticket era, is this still possible to both use the ticket without going through the forwarding/reselling system. Can we both have it on our phones through the same account? As we have the logins.

Also how does the system work in terms of how many games you don't attend a season, and not use one of the systems to move the ticket to someone else, without getting the club on your back?

From what I can workout, you can forward the tickets 5 times to friends, resell 10 times.

Thanks for any help!

I might be wrong, but I don't think a ticket canbe held on two different phones even if using ine Wallet Account

As far as I understand it you can either sell on or pass on a ticket a total of 10 times, in any combination.

Buy a cheap phone you can share.

What @Lesta Legend says would work. As long as it's a smart phone, you can add the ticket to the wallet on that phone and when you can go, you take that phone with you. When you can't, give it to your mate or whoever and they use it to get in.

If you don't get the phone back, ring the club and tell them you sold your phone or upgraded it and need help getting it on your new phone.

Exactly. I have a spare old phone with working NFC.

Have they confirmed it can be transferred or sold 10 times this season? That was the number last season but was hoping it would be more this season with more games

It was 5 sales & 5 transfers last year.

Now it's a combination of 10.

Argument held by the club is that if you need more than that, you are effectively at half of the home games for the season.

I think its a fair point in truth.  As a member who previously couldnt get a season ticket (i now have one) ive had this argument before.   If you are a season ticket holder that's going to miss 10 games a season, do you really need that season ticket? Is it fair? It p1ssed me off as a member that i was shelling out 40-50 quid a game when there were sesson ticket holders missing approx half a season of home games. That season ticket would have been better with someone who would attend most,  if not all of the games.  Fairer too.

Not everyone will agree but i bet most members would.  I get the argument about kick off times being moved but these days we know what we are signing up for.

Oh that's better then, I was going to use a burner phone if I could only forward it to mates 5 times, but don't need to with it being 10

If you’ve always had a card what do you need to do to get the phone ticket?

Should be on your account when you click on your name in the top right and click season ticket. Should be a download button

It's hard to argue against. Personally I think they should just have an option over the 10 games for any late TV changes.

I completely agree, I'd add that Season Tickets are too cheap in comparison to match day tickets, resulting in there being little incentive to give a ST up unless you intend to give up attending altogether.  So I say this as a season ticket holder, the price needs to be increased along with a reduction in match day prices.

My lad is 10, so has had a physical card (and should have one this year. Last year I paid a charity donation to keep my card.

This year, I’ve had no choice. Even using the “apply for a card” part of the website on both accounts. Forced to go digital.

Absolute c^nts. It’s not a huge deal, but when I’m paying them so much money, I’d like to have the choice!!

It essentially excludes an, albeit small, section of the fan base who are not tech savvy, or don't own a mobile phone (believe it or not, there's quite a few, especially amongst older people who don't).

I wonder how many supporters of 70+ years of age are attending without someone to help them. Paperless systems should be an option, not a requirement.

When you take into account how much it saves versus how much we pay some useless players, it's disgusting.

Concession (65+) get a physical card on request at renewal time.

If you don’t own a mobile phone or one that isn’t a smart phone, you can apply for an exception

All over 65’s automatically qualify for an exception but still had to apply for a card and don’t get it automatically, we fear some ST holders will not have realised this and will assume their card from last season will work.

Any issues at the Sheff Weds game, please let us know

They haven’t made it very clear at all that it’s not automatic.

Based on the previous home cup games I fear you might be very busy receiving complains about issues

Based on what out of interest?

What would the increase be for / what would the reduction be for? That’s an impossible formula isn’t it?

I’ve tried and tried to download my ST to the app (as seen advertised on the influencers buses) but it just crashes.

Haven’t tried my lads two yet.
