That’s a great point about if he now regrets complaining. No he doesn’t at all. He sees it as a victory, even though it makes it more complicated for him.

I guess some people feel we are all being controlled more and more in every aspect of our lives and therefore see every change as a threat.

The irony is that the fear of being controlled then controls you and you start to believe a conspiracy theory is behind everything.

Good point, that's probably me. I don't like being told what to do so will find a workaround for every demand to 'beat' the system even if it makes my life harder, and claim it as a win.

This has helped me though, been needing a new phone for years and put it off, finally upgraded and left an old Android with my STs on it in Leicester.

So although I've got an actual new phone in response to this demand, I will claim it as a win too.

This is an absolute shambles from the club.

I have 3 season tickets - one for a pensioner and one for a child.

2 of my tickets fall in the bracket of eligible for physical tickets, and neither of the holders have mobile phones.

Yet there was no communication from the club about the change to electronic tickets to me personally, I was completely unaware until I saw this on here at the weekend.

When I contacted the club , initially they told me the deadline had passed to order physical cards. Eventually I did manage to order physical cards over the phone.

I’m posting this for anyone who may be in a similar position, call the ticket office and they will likely be able to sort it out. Though I would suggest doing this sooner rather than later.

As i can't get my boy a physical card anymore, either me or the wife will have his ticket on our phone.

However, either of us sometimes misses a game. Can we move the ticket between our phones if either of us is away?

Just adds a lot of complication.

Think you can delete it from your wallet and download it again to another phone.

It was certainly possible last season but it’s all guess work for next season

Not according to the message on the email I received with my ticket download on. It says " kindly note that once you have added this ticket to your device, that you will not be able to download it to another".

oh -  did you do that today?

I would rather have a card for my son, and even though i spend far too much of my time on here i had no idea about a deadline. I will try and get if you got this recently.

It’s not a big deal

very simple to use and share (it took me all of 30 seconds to work out how)

I was quite happy to move to electronic

I forgot to order a season card for myself and my wife so, as an oap, was dreading using the mobile ticket. I use Google wallet already so downloaded the season tickets last week. I received the email from the club yesterday, checked and found the Wednesday tickets were already on our phones without doing anything. So far it looks like our fears were unfounded but will see how it goes.

Right now I have a physical card and the mobile has updated automatically so it seems to me like nothing has changed. Reality is that I had the same last year and never used the cards always the phone.

Yeah, just give them a call mate and they’ll be able to sort it.

Apologies if this has been said here.

What happens if you change your phone during the season? As I'm likely to do that this season. It does say on the email it can only be downloaded to one device?

Or would the same tickets etc be on my Google wallet on the same account if I got another phone?

Free Events for us digital virgins to attend and see how it all works-

You may mock it but I attended one last season, not as much to see how to get in as it’s straight forward but more for how it works and some of the crap spouted on here back then and when they announced an end to cards was amusing when you know how it actually works.

If you’ve got half an hour spare it’s worth going along.

Is this correct?

If you get a new phone you have to add your bank cards to it, they don't go over automatically.

What I'd like to know is:

Is this effectively your 'season ticket' the ticket now says 'vs Sheff W', will that then change to 'vs Brun' or will you reveive another email from the club for that game?

If  you pass a ticket on to a friend is that the same as sellback to the club, in that the club sold it and then reimbursed me?

Would you be kind enough to share just how simple it is to the rest of us?

I know how to sell back to the club but what if I want to forward it to a friend? I iwill probably pass a few on to a 'friend' over the course of the season, I'm intending to get some reimbursement, how does that happen?

The season ticket in your wallet updates automatically.. so after the first game nearer the Birmingham date, it will change to Birmingham.

I could be wrong but I got a new phone in December and had to add my bank cards, but I'm sure my season ticket and tesco club card automatically restored

Does that mean it’s effectively linked to your Sim Card?

This is what it states in the questions section. If you've used the same Google account you're OK.

Also, according to the instructions, you'll get a notification and then have 90 seconds from opening to scan your ticket. Or, am I misunderstanding?

How do we get notification if there's no signal? Our do you not need one for items in your wallet?
