Not done it myself but anecdotally heard of >5 who have. They’ve gone to the KP and literally presented their non-smart phones, and been given a plastic card.

Well if you know people that have definitely done it ... then fair enough.

The Club have certainly not made mention of any such exception, and have pretty much gone out of their way to imply there were no other alternatives.

(same for match day sales.   Absolutely no mention of anything like "if you have a problem with Mobile Ticketing, then please contact us".   It's always presented as Mobile Tickets or nothing.)

I’ve downloaded mine without issue but I still think it’s a bit of a joke and there should be the option for anyone who wants a card regardless of their reasoning.

I'm confused, you think anyone can get a card?????

The LCFC club app where you can go in and download your season ticket to your phone etc.

If the season ticket was purchased from your account with your email address, then I would think you will need to change the email address attached to that ST.

In my phone (android)  I get a message saying that screenshot is disabled for security reasons when NFC is turned on.

I never knew that having no need to screenshot a QR code. Interesting though, I guess it’s to stop touts selling screen shots?

But as has been posted above the live QR code combats that’s now anyway if it’s active.

If you don’t own a mobile phone or one that isn’t a smart phone, you can apply for an exception

All over 65’s automatically qualify for an exception but still had to apply for a card and don’t get it automatically, we fear some ST holders will not have realised this and will assume their card from last season will work.

Any issues at the Sheff Weds game, please let us know

I was told by Jim at LCFC help that if fans weren’t in a concession category (over 65, kids, disabled), and they didn’t have a smart phone, then they basically couldn’t have a season ticket.

Yeah ties in with what I was told. Fit in or **** off type message from the club down.

Long term season ticket owner, concession, paying under £20 per game this season for each of the 23 games……Boston United is £20 to get in…….doesn’t apply to me, but it is a far better financial situation for me to buy a season ticket and choose the games I go to and those I don’t……..Oxford at home on a freezing January afternoon immediately springs to mind…..

I had a long chat with Jim, a year or two ago about Mobile Tickets.

Whilst he was civil and polite, it was obvious from what he said, that the Club were going to push this through ... no matter what.

Whether Jim really believed in what he was saying, or was just "following orders" from higher up .....   I can't say.

But the bit that really hit home was when I said something along the lines of "but this is our Club.  It belongs to the fans.  The people of Leicester and Leicestershire".

And he said, again, I can't remember exact verbatim, but it was something like  "No it isn't.   It's our Club.   We do what we like"

Shocked for a few seconds, as the penny finally dropped in my 50+ years of naivety, I mumbled something like "not much I can say to that then, Jim" and just gave up.

I know someone personally, who isn’t in any concession category, who just didn’t want a digital season ticket. There was some email correspondence between the club and him and he eventually said he wasn’t renewing if they wouldn’t let him keep his physical card.

In the end they came to a compromise that the club would print a physical ticket for every individual game, to be collected on the day of the game.
Seems more hassle to me for both sides, rather than just having a digital ticket, but clearly different people are told/allowed to do different things.

On the OS guide to mobile tickets, it says that Android phones "must run the newest version of Android, where possible". Does anybody know how necessary this is? Eg, if somebody has an older phone than can't run newer versions of Android, can it create any issues?

That's interesting and another anecdote to add to the pile. In so many areas the club try and act like a proper corporate enterprise, but so often you hear they just fold over to anyone who can kinda be arsed to challenge them, or maybe they just haven't got the staff to act like a corporate.

That doesn't sound right. I imagine that's an advisory clause to stop the waves of people who cannot figure out how to download the passes, and then blame the club for 'NOT TELLING ME!!!' what they needed to do.

I defo don't have the latest version of android on the phone my two passes are on.

I'm under 65 and don't have a smart phone , initially I was told I had no option other than to go digital, but the Foxes Trust kindly assisted me and now I will be collecting a paper ticket at each match, I just need to take along photo ID , so I would definitely suggest pushing for an alternative if you really don't want to go down the digital route

May be a stupid question I know, but my season ticket in my phone wallet has automatically updated and is showing the next game to be Sheff Wed, I presume I don’t have to do anything else for it to work on matchday?

What a pain though. And it totally contradicts their argument that going digital is more environmentally friendly, if they’d rather print out a ticket every match instead of giving out a card. But we know it’s really just all about control

Spoke to the club about this today and they confirmed that it should work on matchday🤞🏻🤞🏻

We all know that the main reason has nothing to do with being environmentally friendly.

QQ from me. My son is 13 and doesnt have a phone. I cant find anywhere on the site to request him a physical card (this is not going to be the excuse to get him a phone!). Am i missing something, or is it just going to have to be a call to the ticket office?
