  1. 1. 10 days from the season opener - how excited are you for the return of football out of 10?

    • 0-2... King Power, Rudkin et al have drained the life out of me.

    • 3-5... Just looking forward to some weekend routine again...

    • 6-8... Watching some academy players may be decent? We may win a few games?

I was 0-2 before Cifuentes was appointed.
I was 6-8 when appointed.

But after watching the pre season friendlies, I’m back down to 0-2.

No fault of Cifuentes, I’m just fvcking sick of seeing the same faces(Faes, Vestergaard, Coady, Soumare, Daka) in particular.

Spot on !!!
Stale stale stale

I am in the 3-5, it’s such a mixed feeling at the moment, I am fully onboard with Marti and genuinely excited by the academy prospects but then I see the likes of Coady, Faes, Vestergaard, VK, Soumare, Winks, Ayew, Daka, BDCR, Skipp still here, all players who have either thrown in the.towel at some point or have been absolutely stealing a living on ridiculous wages and I feel my energy and enthusiasm ebb away.

Feeling good… because I no longer have a season ticket and it’s like a millstone removed.

I saw the first four fixtures listed and glad I’m not doing them as the lack of Saturday 3pm KOs is so sad now.

if I was still within ten miles of the City I’d probably have stuck with it but being 45+ miles away made it easier to end my time.

But I still love the art of football and I’ll be doing most home games at my NL club just a few mins down the road by car.

Losing the identity tag that comes with getting too obsessed with anything external to ourselves is a real benefit.

I'm sure Leicester will have a fair season looking at the league they’re in.

I hope everyone that goes has a good time still and surely will see some wins even if it is potentially mid table material

All I want is a refreshed, energetic team - young, mobile, fit, and playing with intent.

Basically, the complete opposite of what we saw last season.

A bit of movement on both outgoings and incomings in the next week would bring me back onside.

As I've said in other threads.

I have had the Leicester sucked out of me, interest is at an all time low. Cancelled season ticket, won't order the new shirt.

Saying that, I know when the season starts I will be watching again.

For the first time in many years, looking forward to not having my life dictated by travelling to all the games. Didn’t renew my ST and moved to the Cotswolds for a more peaceful life. I’ll no doubt watch the games from afar but on my terms. I also work in the US a lot these days so missed quite a few last season.

Share a lot of thoughts here. Starting to get some of the excitement back about what the season may bring...

...but I expect that'll last until 3pm on Sunday when we see Faes, Soumare, BCDR and too many others to mention are in the matchday squad.

Difference for me vs this time 2 years ago was how stale it feels from top to bottom; there was still hope at the start of the last champo season that we'd learned from our mistakes and it could have been the start of a much needed reset. Last season completely destroyed that. And it looks like the squad we ended that shambolic season with will be broadly the same.

0, really wish it wasn't but the people that 'run' this club have completely killed any enthusiasm I had left, literally have no interest whatsoever and actually do not feel anything towards the club anymore. It was previously anger in the Rodgers relegation era but it's just gone way past that now.

The sad reality is that it's not going to change any time soon either. It's going to take us being relegated to League 1 before the majority of the fanbase stands up and realise this owner and his cronies need to be hounded out.

This club is a joke and could go into administration and out of existence for all I care:banana:

So why are you on here?

I can’t believe you really mean that, success and disappointment are only ever temporary in a football club’s history. One thing’s for certain our experience of both is unparalleled in the game. I’d rather have this  lifelong ride on Smiler than be an Everton fan at the hook a duck stall.

Its about what leicester city means to me, i could easily live without it as i pretty much do.

Going out of business wouldnt be too bad, the years of decay leading up to that perhaps.

This is where i keep up to date with all the action or non-action.

As explained to someone else, its about what the club means to me and i could take it or leave it. Its only football.

It can be a much bigger part of somebodies life but not mine so there is my reasoning and i hope it answers your question xxx
