Still the future, vesty and faes contracts will run out soon

Nelson's contract runs out in June 27 same as Faes and Vestergaard

I don't see why he would want to sign a new contract currently

Faes and vesty are on larger salaries, I don't think the club will renew them. They were poor in the prem last season

What I mean is I don't see why Nelson would sign a new contract with us if he is just going to sit out of the squad the whole season and not be developed at all

The handling of Ben is being completely mismanaged by the club. Let’s be real about the situation, unless he starts getting opportunities he won’t sign a new deal and we will end up losing him for nothing.

Personally I'd just smash the team full of kids, Alves (yeah he's not here) can't be worse than BDCR, Nelson can't be worse than Faes, Evans can't be worse than Carranza, Page can't be worse than skipp, the list goes on.

As much as I believe Nelson has every right to feel cheesed off it would seem the coach has made the call now.

He probably needs to stick with the settled unit of Jakub-Faes-Vesty and then rotate Ricardo, LT and the plonker Hamza

Whose contract would you most like to renew in 2027?

A 23 year old Ben Nelson, a 29 year old Wout Faes or a 35 years old Vestergaard’s?

What would it cost to buy Ben Nelson if he was at another club?

We’re choosing short term ‘gain’ and it’s not really getting us anywhere given the current pair are shaky. One doesn’t want to be here at all, the other is declining.

We’ll lose Nelson and probably replace him with a worse player - who’ll play more.

Just play him now ffs, he could be a mainstay for 10 years. There’s little point in Seagrave if we don’t side with academy players in these marginal decisions.

100% we have to think long term, not just today.

He needs to be starting every week does Nelson simple as that. Don't understand why he doesn't.

Someone has to ask Cifuentes out right what the **** is going on. How many mistakes are the chuckle brothers allowed to make? Meanwhile Ben has been banished to the shadow realm with no explanation.

A shame it's come to this but I'd imagine the transfer request comes any day. Get out of this mess and make something of yourself!

This one really baffles me. Played as captain a few times in preseason, was given the number 4, has featured a lot from the social media admin.

Is there some attitude problem we don’t know about? Or is he not all that? Has looked good whenever I’ve seen him for us/ Oxford (bar 45mins in the cup), and has had rave reviews.

A real shame because he was the one I was most excited about and wanted us to build our team around him this year, come what may. But for the benefit of his career he really needs to leave us if this is how he’s treated.

has any journalist actually asked Marti about him?

When was the last time you heard any journalist ask a challenging question to a Leicester Manager?

The Media seems to always think our Managers are excellent and our fanbase is deluded
