Page taking 25 as relatively low number suggests how highly thought of he is as well. 
 

Only thing with Ayew taking the 9 is it takes the pressure of who wears it next given Ayew will only be here a year (hopefully).

That is my hope as well

 

Give Kone (or whoever it is) another number and then if they prove themself they can have 9 once Ayew leaves

 

Although I would probably just prefer no one had it until we find a good enough striker

Crikey, I remember everyone making a valid argument we shouldn't retire the 9 and it should be something every young player strives for. I dont think anyone should have it until they earn it. But weve just given it away 🤷‍♂️
