Just for a bit of info. This season's away game at Southampton will be the 11th since 2015, and only three of those have been Saturday 3pm kick-offs. The Saturday match in 2023 was a 5:30 kick-off, the Sunday match in 2017 was a 12:00 kick-off, and the remaining six games have been weekday evening kick-off times.

This is a post of mine from the TV fixture changes thread. The recurring theme of playing Southampton away on a weekday definitely takes a hit on numbers.

I live on the isle of wight and me and my 16 year old are looking to go.

We were members last year but unfortunately that has now stopped.

If any help from anyone then it would be appreciated.

Accidentally bought a ticket in the wrong friends name- have to collect at the ground- how strict are they with ticket collections and id. I’m the lead booker so do they only need my id?

They ask me for ID, at west Brom, , gave them my drivers license, could you borrow a friends bill, or non photo id, and try that.

If anyone has a single spare for this it would be appreciated, I know it’s still on sale but it’s for a non member (and the club would seemingly prefer empty seats to general sale)  … can collect at the ground … thanks

Anyone know if you can buy tickets at the match for this one? I'm too lazy to drive over and check....

I called the ticket office earlier to snag a last minute ticket as I'm now working down south and it turns out I could make it. But was told I can't buy one "because it's the day of the game".

Honestly cba to fight it at this stage, they're not worth the effort.

Couldn't help myself... Had to call.

"we are very busy in this period, and you can call back later. Your current position in the queue is.... 1... "

Me: Hello, can I buy tickets on the door"

Ticket person: The game is today

Me: yes I know, that is why I want one

Ticket person: Yes you should be able to buy them at the away ticket office at the gate.

Make what you will of that.

It's genuinely insane how little they want to help fans attend the games.

Can't people after tickets on the day try ringing Southampton's ticket office, just a thought.

That is what I did. Going to drive up in a bit and see if I can get one. Apparently you can get one on the door, but lets see....
