Absolutely mate, national express ran coaches from all over the UK for the gigs in Brixton in 2002, unheard of now to run buses for Brixton but there was such demand after that first album.

My recollection was after the britpop had died a death and the awful numetal had took over, the strokes were seen as the next 'big thing'..and the future of rock music.  Never really happened but their influence on a new generation of bands is undeniable.

Being NME darlings was a big thing but also carried a lot of weight back then.

I’ve never seen anyone as drunk on stage as the lead singer and apparently he’s like it pretty much every gig?

I've been watching Fallout on Prime having played the game series.

 

I forgot how good the soundtrack from the game and now the series, is.

 

The music combined with the episodic parts of the game and the series is excellent.

I didn't find out about them until they were mentioned here recently.

 

As a guitar player, I can certainly appreciate what they are doing, but it's not something I'd listen to on a regular basis.
