Another good win for Antonelli after a slow start albeit fortunate with the safety car .

McLaren seem to be back being competitive and battled with the Ferraris well.

Doubt Russell will be very happy .

Impressive from Gasly again .

Been some of the most watchable first races to a season in memory and they’re all crying if they’re not winning.

Seeing him whine constantly over the last few weeks when he realised his pace is nowhere near the top has been a very amusing turnaround. Really doesn't like it so no doubt he'll be fishing for another team next year.

Obviously more justified  complaints about the new regulations after that nasty accident between Colapinto and Bearman but because Verstappen is the main one critical of them people just think he is being a bad loser as things aren’t going his way .

There  had been some good action but drivers want to go fast and race more .

Weirdly enough, Verstappen's complaints sound genuine to me.

But I feel they're borne out of a general frustration of being in the F1 circus. He's never seemed like someone that would stay as long as Vettel, Hamilton or Alonso. And with Mateschitz' passing, the whole ordeal with Horner, the constant negative press (especially since that Abu Dhabi race), the unnatural racing of this rule set - it's not surprising to see him becoming jaded and looking elsewhere.

I don't like the guy at all, but he's proven everything he needed to in F1 and can probably retire wealthy, enjoying a less glitzy, but fun racing career elsewhere.

I think so too, and in all honesty he is right when it comes to the regulations. The amount of bitching he has been doing though is a bit over the top though, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he just does sports cars full time next season.

I do remember him saying the records never meant that much to him and preempted it quite a while ago before these regs got revealed iirc. And realistically if he was genuine about that then really it’s just going to be the love of the sport keeping him in it

I'm sure they are genuine complaints, but plenty of drivers have had to suck it up in previous years due to cars not suiting them and regulations stifling their car's competitiveness.

It's just sour grapes because he's suddenly nowhere near the top. And he knows he has a strong position within the sport so is acting out to try and change things back in his favour.

True it  is some sour grapes but I think the safely concerns about Bearman’s crash are valid .

Sure some middle ground can be found and the teams have 5 weeks to sort themselves out and improve their performances .

It’s more to do with the fact that the new regulations have made any skill in overtaking and attacking the corners obsolete ultimately. Both key areas in why Max was the best or among the best on the track. Similar has happened with LeClerc as well which is why Lewis is more competitive with him this year.

performance definitely comes into it though don’t get me wrong, but I think those fundamental principles are why he’s so assmad

I had to check google to see if F1 cars still use Fuel.

It all seems abit battery powered at the moment.

It's now 50/50 on battery vs combustion. And it means they're using the combustion part to charge the battery up more because electric power has more torque so makes them quicker.

Yes means drivers can pass more which is good but also get past straight away again as they need to save battery .

I notice James Vowles has been sacked as team principal of Williams, and Christian Horner has been appointed to take over. He certainly has a lot to do to get them anywhere near competitive, even in the midfield battle.

And I'm sure plenty of other people won't be so happy to see him back in the paddock. I wonder if we'll see a few snide remarks from Horner in the direction of his ex team or other team principals.

Ah balls.

I forget all about that sort of stuff because the entire concept does my head in.

Don’t worry Horner will probably be back somewhere soon.
