Fair enough. I hope it goes well because I’ve been present for the last couple of attempts and I feel like I’ve wasted my time. Apologies for being so jaded.

No problem.

You can get behind the manager and still protest against the board....

The two aren't mutually exclusive.

That negativity will be brought into the game everytime someone misplaces a pass or passes backwards, lets not kid ourselves. Id rather be doing everything to get behind King and the team for the next few games personally. Charltons a massive game where we need a result

You can when the fans and the players are at one with it aka Sheff W. Protests of any sort during a game in our current position will only have a detrimental effect on the players.  we now need to get behind Kingy and whoever comes next, if we are to have any chance of staying in this league.

I fully accept many are going to want to protest against this board, and believe me I have some sympathy but if you must please keep it away from inside the stadium before and during play.

There's no intention to "Protest" in the ground during the game. Players wont even see it.

As for negativity during the game I'd imagine that'll be dictated, as it always normally is, by their performance. Which to be honest has deserved negativity.

I am pleased to hear that and wish you good luck.

Afternoon all.

As part of a group that led one of the many protests made against King Power I am posting a poll for planning reasons, how may of you are actually willing to protest, against our current ownership, at some point next month or early in March on a match day?  Norwich is looking the most likely.

The nature will obviously be around the fan bases disapproval on how the club is being run, specifics will be decided later

This will be properly planned and organised for maximum effect, this forum will simply just part of it, and this one will take a bit more commitment than keyboard talk and staying away from games.

To be very clear, anyone who does not wish to take part or who feels the current ownership is adequate to take care of this football club will not be judged.

The Boycott was a start, now it's time to build.

This hopefully will be discussed with Union FS, Project Rese if numbers are favorable.

If we get a solid base here where I view there being a lot of support for change, we can look at ways to reach the wider fan base with a foundation that has been built on, if you do intend to do something about this in person  please do vote accordingly.

this is definitely what we need boycotts aren't we that effective imo, main thing is for consistent loud, vocal and large protests outside the reception with chants of sack the board, we want king power out etc

Ok great, doesn't change the premise of my point though.

No, it makes your point completely redundant though as everything you are suggesting was clearly laid out in the OP as already happening.

Which (excuse my cynicism) suggests to me you either not read it properly or your tone has not quite come across as you intended.

Oh I didn't need to read it when the thread title said Norwich and reset had beat you to the punch saying they would do something for Southampton, so it was clear there was no communication.

But tbf having tried to contact reset myself and him not coming back to me I know it's difficult.

I would say "jumping the gun" more than "beating us to the punch" as Southampton clearly is not suitable midweek, but he has been spoken to this afternoon, so yes there has been communication, he's not difficult to communicate with at all, and we are working out logistics of putting this together with him and others, so yes, you did need to read it.

This topic is purely numbers scoping of people on here as it's a good firm base of people who want change, we get a couple of hundred on here, we have publicity, we use publicity to build further numbers, and therefore make a success out of it, therefore get the message we all want to put across but across as efficiently as possible..

Two things that really don't help when numbers are trying to be ascertained in the early stages. People confusing things by questioning the authenticity of this when it's already been clearly outlined, people questioning the date.

Sad that so many people are against a protest and therefore seemingly just ok to let this continue.

As for this affecting the players. Look at Sheffield Wednesday. If the players actually put some effort in, and were at one with the fans, it would be easy for all involved to differentiate protests against the board and ownership from the players. If we had a decent bunch of players that would be the case.

I don't wholly disagree with you re the player's, but and it's a big but in this context, our players, unlike Wednesdays are atill being paid and well looked after.  I doubt you'd be supporting customers in protests against your bosses in those circumstances.

I've no doubt some will not like my use of the word customers, but I am afraid we have to accept that as the reality now football has been taken over by international business interests.

Protests against that is something I could support.

I don’t think is it unreasonable to expect players to understand the fans point of view, regardless of if they are being paid. Ultimately, if they put a shift in which they don’t, they wouldn’t need to feel like they are all targets of the fans anger. You’d expect them to have all grown up with a boyhood team. If money has gone to their heads, or they are too clueless to be able to put themselves in the position of how they would feel if it was that club, that’s not our problem, sorry.

Regardless of the wider football world, that does not excuse how our club is being run. If you think what is happening at our club is fine, we will never agree.

I'd suggest a sit in after with chanting of sack the board etc because that would gain media attention and irritate the club

Fair enough, I guess when I emailed him to ask if he was going to throw his weight behind your last protest, and he didn't come back to me, he must just have not checked his emails.

All I'm saying is there needs to be a joined up approach. I can see proposals for protests at every home game until March as it stands. People will quickly become snowblind to it.

I agree, it's being worked on.

I ask the 12.5% who have said no, how do you propose we move forward?

PS. I voted no, but I would have protested anyway. And also because I won't even be in the same county. Got much, MUCH better things to do like celebrate my niece's 1st birthday.

This isn't really about that it's about organising doing something and gaging some numbers on here as an early step before some tweets start to go out.

1) There are plenty of topics on that subject should you wish to discuss it.

2) The wording is specifically would you protest, some might have a desire for things to change at the club, but be unwilling to physically protest, for numerous reasons.
