If we want to have a protest, we can't just have one every week. It's needs to be organised and coordinated.

No it doesn’t, demonstrations were the best part of being a fan in the early/mid 90s and always started on a whim.

When that Yes number looks more favorable.

Well I’d argue that these things don’t start immediately as massive events but grows and grows. It’s got a 60% majority and a crowd attracts a crowd at the end of the day , discontent is only gonna grow especially with this points deduction this week

Have you an idea of how you’re going to promote this to people not on social media? Using word of mouth or? I ask because I’m only on instagram and only read about the West Brom boycott on here.

This has to happen now surely at the next home game !!!!!!

What are we waiting for ?

well I think its a bit too soon for Charlton on Saturday so there's not enough time to organise coordinate and advertise the protest - sure there will still be chants of discontent

Turn up and voice it on Saturday

A month is too long

We must have the most passive fans in the country

You're point has been duly taken on board.

As proven here though, not everyone understands these things need to be prepped and timed if they are going to work properly and you get the question why aren't we doing this in 4 days time.

Although I should state I do however fully endorse anyone wanting to make a fuss on Saturday, or anyone not going, please do crack on.

Afternoon all.

As part of a group that led one of the many protests made against King Power I am posting a poll for planning reasons, how may of you are actually willing to protest, against our current ownership, at some point next month or early in March on a match day?  Norwich is looking the most likely.

The nature will obviously be around the fan bases disapproval on how the club is being run, specifics will be decided later

This will be properly planned and organised for maximum effect, this forum will simply just part of it, and this one will take a bit more commitment than keyboard talk and staying away from games.

To be very clear, anyone who does not wish to take part or who feels the current ownership is adequate to take care of this football club will not be judged.

The Boycott was a start, now it's time to build.

This hopefully will be discussed with Union FS, Project Rese if numbers are favorable.

If we get a solid base here where I view there being a lot of support for change, we can look at ways to reach the wider fan base with a foundation that has been built on, if you do intend to do something about this in person  please do vote accordingly.

There plenty who are happy to get involved,

but then those that orchastrate a protest do the exact opposite

We got all we need today to start protesting on Saturday

the chants of "sack the board' after the second goal from Oxford were very loud from the kop and I think the main thing we should be doing on Saturday should be consistent chanting against the board and ownership

I was about to say it was interesting you didn't see anything, it had national press coverage.

Knowing you I get the impression you probably use Facebook more than anything else although it was covered on there by a few groups,  and I personally do have a group in mind for that who get good coverage yes, leave X to the other members.

Mate, I’ve not had a Facebook account for about 5 years 😂 not on X anymore either, that’s my point. I didn’t see anything in the press because I avoid it, I stay informed about world events in other ways these days. Anyway, I’m basically thinking of those people who, like me, don’t have much of a social media presence and getting the word out to them. I guess when it starts getting media coverage it can get to most people that way.

If you aren't on social media and actively avoid the news then it's a bit tricky, maybe the organisers should send a few pigeons out.

I’m only on instagram as I said in my first post so the pigeons aren’t necessary 😂

I’m not necessarily thinking about me because I find out stuff on here, but the people who aren’t on anything. I wish I hadn’t have asked now 😭

Do I really need to explain to you why making sure something is done properly instead of doing it quickly is far more effective?

I'm going to say you're an exception to the digital age rule then lol

The best protest would be, like the project reset one, to start at the local hero and walk as a group to the ground but this time stay outside the entrance with banners and chants. It would only need a couple of hundred to be noticeable, and with that bystanders who agree with the sentiment but have felt too shy to do anything may feel elboldened.

So is this gonna happen then all has gone quiet ?????

Talk is continuing.

Please be patient, as it has already been handily pointed out this fixture is some way away yet there is no need to start making major announcements a month out and let it fizzle out by the time of the game.

Also....remember the people behind this have families to look after, jobs to hold down, etc, they aren't at it 9-5. And this was scoping, for general interest as well as specifically Norwich interest, hence why the third option was added.

Top is also good at one thing and that is mitigating things like this, when the chips are down he finds a way to take the pressure off himself and regain faith with his supporters/people on the fence and also get them talking about something else, sacking Marti and coming out and doing that interview has earned him some favour in some quarters and has threads like this get diluted by people wanting to discuss the sacking/new managers/the interview etc, so it's important we time our own actions for maximum effect. As was done with the WBA game.

I am not guaranteeing anything about Norwich but obviously something will have to happen in the not so distant future, but I'd strap yourself in for some bad times as I envisage the process of getting Top out of the club will take a long time and things will not get any better until months after he has relinquished control and the results of any rebuild start to take effect.

Assuming he sells it to someone suitable which is another issue but hopefully the new look Trust can be somewhat involved in that process to Safeguard it.

Obviously every positive vote we get helps so keep em coming.

Do you mean the late 80s?

The best part of being a fan in the early/mid 90s was going to Wembley loads and winning two play-off finals.

But the late 80s was dire. Worse than now, although youngsters today won't believe that.

Pleat Out! Shipman Out! Sack the Board!

Pleat out was 1990 against Sheffield United and then 1991 against Blackburn which actually worked. There were loads of demonstrations during the Little and McGhee eras and the infamous Sheffield United game under O’Neill.

Referring to Pleat and Shipman leaving, it might have been the plane flying over the ground but more likely it was the fire extinguishers flying through the windows of the Belvior Suite.
