Case closed then because they temporarily replaced him with someone with zero managerial experience and that has been part of the coaching setup during the failures of the past few managers.

Let’s also totally ignore clubs that have sacked managers and pulled away from the relegation positions because those appointments were better than the outgoing managers.

Those clubs are better run and have better setups.

You didn't include Maresca or is that because he was a success? There have been a lot of poorly run clubs but a decent manager can still be a success. Maresca as the example here, Rohl at Wednesday, Robins at Coventry.

We aren't a serious club anymore and the owner has lead over one of the biggest declines, probably ever, but those managers listed aren't without blame either. RVN broke the record of games without scoring ffs.

I did include Maresca...we had a dreadful 2nd half of the season under him too. I dont blame him for that.

My apologies, you did, my point still stands though. Under any poor ownership a decent manager can still make the team a success (examples listed on my post). The issue is we have also appointed bad managers.

I disagree but even if that were true, what decent manager would actually join now?

What was the point?

We had to sack Cifuentes.

Just as we had to replace him quickly.

I don’t see how anyone can defend the Marti fraud.

1. We got worse every game under him

2. Almost every player got worse under him

3. The running stats appalling

4. Pressing stats appalling

5. Xg appalling

6. 2nd balks won appalling

7. Fitness looks appalling

There is little defence for that clown

On 7 (and 3,4 and 6 too tbh), obviously it was Marti’s responsibility- but I do wonder if any of that was impacted by how late into pre season we hired him

We looked fitter at the start of the season and got worse though so in my opinion it was absolutely on him

The problem is the club think both are decisions/plans that exist in a vacuum from one another - but they don’t.

the decision to sack a manager is only as good as the replacement and the process of appointing them.

sacking Cooper is a terrible decision if you appoint RVN and he’s even worse.

sacking Cifuentes is a terrible decision if you do it at a crucial part of the season, have no one identified or lined up and take 3+ weeks to appoint a replacement

He was only sacked cus Top was at the game and heard the boos, then threw more of daddies money away so he could buy being loved.

I think he probably sacked him because we were unbelievably shit, even someone as clueless a top could see that. We were outclassed by Oxford United at home, it’s not a great look tbf.
