So call him Mr Raksriaksorn.

We've built a culture here where people are told they have to call him Khun Top because the entire club is built in a way that panders to his feelings.

Who is we, and who has told people.

I don't see a problem with people who have worked  with him being polite.

Usual corporate crap. That’s not a slight against him, it’s the way football is.

The only real insight there is “trying to build a new culture” and “set new standards”. I think that tells you everything you need to know about the place.

Came across as a decent guy. Happy enough in the summer, but he turned out not to be the right fit, even with the shockingly bad hand he was dealt. Seemed to take a genuine interest in the club, and can’t remember the last manager to do a radio forum. However tactically inflexible and after that Oxford performance, the writing was on the wall

Sorry but “set new standards”? The standards he set were that you could give up chasing, contribute nothing to a game or a 2nd half and put in less than 100% then come the next match, pat on the back, here’s your shirt (starting place) go again son.

Leaving Ayew on for 90 minutes is not setting any kind of standards, what standards are the kids at the training ground picking up on when they see “jog around” Soumare selected again?

We had no standards at all, well the fans did but internally the club had none.

Dealt a mixed hand and played it badly.

Very little doubt in my mind the club lied and f ucked him about though, so I have a tiny bit of sympathy. Post-Cooper I just find it difficult to be worked up by managers anymore. It's like being annoyed at the waiter because there's a hair in your soup; whilst Chewbacca is in the kitchen.

I do love a good analogy. Nice work

Yeah, I noticed this. Almost like he tried to sort out the dressing room but realised he'd be better off pissing into the wind.

I don’t think he is just talking about the dressing room.

Id love to hear some of the other bits that have gone on at the club over the past 3 years.

I wouldn't admit that was what you attempted to do Marti.

He was definitely part of a new set of standards…

No hard feelings, he's not the biggest issue and you could see from a few interviews he was frustrated at the complete lack of backing and willingness to change the club from above.

But as John McClane once said "if you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem" and his (lack of) tactics and abysmal subs were definitely part of the problem.

I’ve never wanted a manager to succeed as much as him. From day one he came cross so well. He wanted to get to know the club, the city and surround county. He wasn’t the one and he did have to go, but what a top bloke.

This is the sort of thing that keeps you coming back to this site.

No offence but this is the most generic, bland, copy and paste sacked manager statement.

I don't doubt Marti is a fairly nice person, I think most people generally are, but this isn't really evidence of anything it's just meaningless fluff.

Was just missing an "unwavering"

I've had my fair share of honking takes over the years on here, however I really hope people can now see that it doesn't really matter who we've got in charge whilst were run by that ****ing man child. Reading some of the takes that everything is sorted because we sacked Marti have aged like milk.

The club isn't a serious operation and has been in free fall for the best part of 5 years. We've got worse since we sacked Marti (at best youd argue it's the same). We've seen many a manager completely ****ed over by having incompetent bosses who don't respond to them and in many cases lie.

It's beyond the pale now and it's an absolute ****ing disgrace - people are being taken for a ride....

Where's the CEO, where's the manager, where's the technical director?

Rodgers, Maresca, Cooper, RVN and now Marti have all been completely ****ed over. I still see people blaming Rodgers and whilst he's not without his faults, any manager would struggle to perform with these clowns in charge.

Im so ****ing angry, used to be proud of the club. I can't even bring myself to watch the highlights now but annoyingly I still care deeply. **** off Top and Rudkin.

You didn't include Maresca or is that because he was a success? There have been a lot of poorly run clubs but a decent manager can still be a success. Maresca as the example here, Rohl at Wednesday, Robins at Coventry.

We aren't a serious club anymore and the owner has lead over one of the biggest declines, probably ever, but those managers listed aren't without blame either. RVN broke the record of games without scoring ffs.

Case closed then because they temporarily replaced him with someone with zero managerial experience and that has been part of the coaching setup during the failures of the past few managers.

Let’s also totally ignore clubs that have sacked managers and pulled away from the relegation positions because those appointments were better than the outgoing managers.
