If all of his is true, then aren’t you furious for what Top and John Rudkin have done to your club? The fact that there’s a very real possibility it may not exist? Everything you mention in your post is at risk of no longer existing, because of a catastrophic mismanagement of the club.

I appreciate there’s a lot of sentiment attached to football, but unfortunately in times of crisis, which we are very much in, a stance needs to be taken. It’s getting every fan to realise that this is the case, going to every game, sitting in silence, and then clapping the lads off after another gutless performance isn’t support, its an endorsement for failure.

It’s all perfectly acceptable if this is just  a normal football cycle, but it isn’t, it’s the most unnecessary and spectacular fall from grace in British football history, and it’s down to negligence and incompetence.

If you really care about the club, you’ll fight for its existence.

Yes.....my point is there's a lot of blue v blue unkindness going on in this forum that is unhelpful. Have your opinions....feel the way you feel cos I'm as pissed off as the next person but quit with the taking it out on our own fans....it ain't their fault.

That’s a great piece of writing @tickler28. I know it’s only a game, but City are part of my identity, and have been for over 50 years. And right now, I’m hurting

You are fully entitled to hurt...I'm hurting to.

I don’t disagree with you, there’s place for healthy debate of course, but not abuse and hatred.

It’s okay to disagree with each other, and fine not to share similar opinions. For me, my only reservation is for some, I just want to see the same desire and passion to save the club! Even if it means them stepping outside of their comfort zone.

Appreciate the sentiment but in very dark times like this when the future of our club is at risk, you have to stand up and say it how it is. And when people defend it, they are essentially defending the potential taking away of the thing we all love. So it works both ways.

So you are saying that people who choose to clap (which happens at all clubs good or bad) deserve to be called out? Explain how that is helpful to get the club back to where we all want it to be....the point is have your opinions....your feelings...your disdain but quit with the calling out others who choose to act differently because it ain't helpful.

The second you strip the club of those that clap even in the darkest times (like now) is also the second that you rip away the life support from the club...it's more likely these people leaving that ends the club forever....fans that walk away when things are shit (like now) are zero useless in keeping a club afloat as what happens if things get worse? Yes there will be no club to watch but it won't suddenly magically come back doing well and bringing the fans that jumped ship back.

You never really know what’s going on in someone else’s life.
You don’t know what they’re carrying when they walk through the turnstiles. You don’t know what kind of week they’ve had, what battles they’re fighting quietly, what losses they’re grieving, or what pressures they’re under. And you certainly don’t know why they support a football club the way they do — or what it truly means to them.
For some of us, Leicester City F.C. is more than 90 minutes on a Saturday. It’s tradition. It’s family. It’s memories of going to matches with a parent or a grandparent. It’s the roar at the old Filbert Street or the feeling of walking up to the King Power Stadium under the lights. It’s that impossible, unforgettable journey in 2015–16 when the world watched and we dared to believe.
But life runs far deeper than LCFC.
For many, football is an escape. A release. A place where, for a couple of hours, the noise in their head quiets down. Where the stress of work, the strain of relationships, the weight of finances, or the ache of loneliness fades into the background. Win, lose, or draw, being there matters.
Some people will back the team loudly. Some will do it quietly. Some will criticise because they care. Some will defend because they believe. Some will travel home and away. Some will watch from their sofa. However someone chooses to support, it’s theirs. It’s personal.
What most supporters don’t want is animosity from their own. They don’t want to be ridiculed for feeling hopeful. Or called deluded for staying positive. Or branded negative for expressing frustration. They don’t want disdain. They just want to belong.
We are all Leicester City supporters for our own reasons — and in our own ways.
So before judging how someone reacts to a result, a performance, or a season, remember: you don’t know what’s going on in their life. You don’t know if this club is the one steady thing they have right now. You don’t know if this is the only place they feel part of something bigger than themselves.
Football is powerful like that.
It’s not just about the table. It’s not just about tactics. It’s not just about owners or managers or transfer windows. It’s about community. It’s about connection. It’s about respect.
And sometimes, win lose or draw, people just want to stand there, clap the badge, and show that respect — to the players, to the club, and to each other.
Up the City.

Side note: feel free to slag this post off or call me deluded but I'm merely stating facts.

Your post is decent enough but you aren’t stating facts pal. And for the record, King Power Out! Up the citeh 🦊

Lovely post and I do agree with most of it. I’ve just cancelled my season ticket and my heart hurts BUT I have to have the courage of my convictions and put my money where my mouth is and make a stand against this ownership. I love this club, more than I love most things (other than my family and my cats) but I can no longer contribute to what is happening to it. I still want a club to support when KP finally go but it’s currently being ran into the ground and we can’t allow that to continue. I do get why people are still going, the pull is strong and I’m finding myself getting emotional about what I’m leaving behind but, for me, my principles are too strong to keep giving them money for the poor custodionship of our club.

💯 Respect.

I don’t believe that people who clap when we are absolutely horrendous are the life support of the club. For what it’s worth, I don’t like the idea of boycotts (did for West Brom) or not turning up but I can understand why some do boycott.

It’s interesting you mention that people boycotting are useless in trying to keep the club afloat. Why do you think that keeping the club afloat is even a conversation right now? Because of this ownership which people (I’m stereotyping a bit) clap off and probably still support.

Can I just clarify that this post was never about saying people had to 'Keep the faith' or stick with things through these dark times it was about respecting everyones decision and not casting shadow on those that choose to support Leicester differently

My point is you do you and not try and inflict your decisions on others....allow other people to decide what they want to do...don't blame them and certainly don't ridicule them...stay respectful and kind

Valid post and everything but ever considered that the club are toxic at the moment rather than the fans?

Personally I have to take a break every few games at the moment and despite it being one of the only times I’m with my dad and brother at the same time

It's a lovely OP but, sometimes, as I'm very fond of saying to the kids, to get what you want or need, you have to do things you don't want to do.

Literally and figuratively, good medicine usually tastes bad.

I just hope that works in our favour ultimately. Once again my point isn't about what individuals choose to do (or not do) it's about calling out others who don't do the same...it's a free country not a dictatorship
