I just hope that works in our favour ultimately. Once again my point isn't about what individuals choose to do (or not do) it's about calling out others who don't do the same...it's a free country not a dictatorship

I think the 'calling out' side is borne of frustration. Many of the 'drongos' (as I call them) don't want to make the tough decisions..in most cases simply too weak to take the hit. And instead of at least owning that weakness, it's dressed up as a virtue signalling loyalty.

Great post, I used to say, I can’t worry about it too much, as the players don’t worry about me as they drive away in Bentleys. I find the assumption of many that the fans ticket money is so important to the club, in reality it’s relatively small beer, quite amusing…. If Harry Winks is on £90k per week that’s £4.5m per annum….at ( making it easy)£500 per season ticket that’s 9,000 season tickets for the whole season…..and we have a further 24 players to pay….factor in we only play at home every fortnight, meaning we get one week of income and two weeks of operational costs, it’s easy to see operating at a profit isn’t easy. I bet Jim Ratcliffe, has an opinion on ownership….
The clamour for King Power out, is only beneficial if a buyer is found who can fund the squad development we clearly need. As I see it that’s not going to be easy to find. Can’t see a quick fix, but the buzz I got when we went 3 up on Tuesday is what the club means to me, a happy clapping 68 year old,61 years a fan…..the club is bigger than anyone individual, player, supporter, and it’s simple, you are either in or your out, and it is your choice. If your in, get behind the club, if your out, stop moaning, and you only need to tell me you’ve stopped going the once….not every day….up the Foxes…

Saturdays are usually great days out ruined by the football.

the football is a side show. The excuse to go out. The boozer. The mates. The beers. The birds. Full ov um. I don’t like this club. I love this club. But I also love my mates and the stuff we get up to. We are a family. With or without LCFC.

Whats the harm in doing the exact same thing but at Leicester Tigers until we have our club back, you can't boycott LCFC for the greater good?

That's why a protest outside the ground would work, you can still watch the game but at least vent your frustration's at what's going on

Reading through this topic, my overriding conclusion is that us fans and supporters care hugely, Top doesn't give a shit.

We'll fail because of him and the board he has appointed and people he has kept in place on that board.

Mainly him, though.

I can't think of any reason he doesn't get rid of this millstone around his neck except that retaining ownership benefits him and KP in some underhanded way.

I’m just going off football - not just us and because of how we’re doing.

Im just fed up of a sport which has the integrity of competition ruined by unfair financial regulations and some shoddy rules.

If I can’t give up on football then I might have to find a league that doesn’t have these problems.

You never really know what’s going on in someone else’s life.
You don’t know what they’re carrying when they walk through the turnstiles. You don’t know what kind of week they’ve had, what battles they’re fighting quietly, what losses they’re grieving, or what pressures they’re under. And you certainly don’t know why they support a football club the way they do — or what it truly means to them.
For some of us, Leicester City F.C. is more than 90 minutes on a Saturday. It’s tradition. It’s family. It’s memories of going to matches with a parent or a grandparent. It’s the roar at the old Filbert Street or the feeling of walking up to the King Power Stadium under the lights. It’s that impossible, unforgettable journey in 2015–16 when the world watched and we dared to believe.
But life runs far deeper than LCFC.
For many, football is an escape. A release. A place where, for a couple of hours, the noise in their head quiets down. Where the stress of work, the strain of relationships, the weight of finances, or the ache of loneliness fades into the background. Win, lose, or draw, being there matters.
Some people will back the team loudly. Some will do it quietly. Some will criticise because they care. Some will defend because they believe. Some will travel home and away. Some will watch from their sofa. However someone chooses to support, it’s theirs. It’s personal.
What most supporters don’t want is animosity from their own. They don’t want to be ridiculed for feeling hopeful. Or called deluded for staying positive. Or branded negative for expressing frustration. They don’t want disdain. They just want to belong.
We are all Leicester City supporters for our own reasons — and in our own ways.
So before judging how someone reacts to a result, a performance, or a season, remember: you don’t know what’s going on in their life. You don’t know if this club is the one steady thing they have right now. You don’t know if this is the only place they feel part of something bigger than themselves.
Football is powerful like that.
It’s not just about the table. It’s not just about tactics. It’s not just about owners or managers or transfer windows. It’s about community. It’s about connection. It’s about respect.
And sometimes, win lose or draw, people just want to stand there, clap the badge, and show that respect — to the players, to the club, and to each other.
Up the City.

Side note: feel free to slag this post off or call me deluded but I'm merely stating facts.

People simply cannot be going to Filbert Way to cheer themselves up

I agree the money, greed, attitude ( not aimed totally at LCFC incidentally) coupled with 70% of play in defensive halves, isn’t greatly exciting…..meaning the beautiful game is being played at the wrong end of the pitch…..

Literally the way I feel

It’s pretty much a closed shop to everyone outside the “big 6” now

Not excusing the way our hierarchy have behaved, we’ve been found out as cheats, so rightly there will be repercussions, and it’s only going to get worse and worse for clubs like ourselves

It’s the first season in maybe 25 years that I’ve hardly watched much professional football, I’m finding it more boring by the week

The best post I've ever seen on here. From someone who 12 years ago was stopped from taking their own life by the coastguard and police, football is my escape from the dark. Yes we might be shite, but going to the kp helps me on a week to week basis, by help, I mean it literally gives me an escape from the shit going on in my head, I still get to see my kids, family and friends, because if it wasn't for football and other escapes, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be here to write this.

Shankly once said football is more important than life or death. I can assure you to some folk it actually means life. When you've been to the lowest point a human can go, 11 blokes failing to kick a bag of wind in a cohesive manner is disappointing, but not life changing

Maybe those of us who can’t stay away could do a Vestergaard and have any elective surgery they’ve been putting off now the season has all gone to shit. This would give everyone a perfect excuse to miss games without feeling bad. So if anyone has any planned ops for hernias, varicose veins, boob jobs or even a trip to Turkey for new teeth and hair  planned, do a Vestergaard and have the operation now the season has become an embarrassment. Have a guilt free break from football, be part of the process and plan for next season, be fit and ready to watch us in League 1. Vesty will be fit and ready too for the summer move he’ll be planning too!

I hate sickly sweet posts like these, it’s not a sky sports advert. We best hope that people’s reasons for going aren’t that important to them because they won’t have a club to go to in a few years

As we’ll be even more reliant on matchday revenue to face off bankruptcy, a mass boycott of matches and merch will very much quicken not having a club to go to tbf.

So you are saying that people who choose to clap (which happens at all clubs good or bad) deserve to be called out? Explain how that is helpful to get the club back to where we all want it to be....the point is have your opinions....your feelings...your disdain but quit with the calling out others who choose to act differently because it ain't helpful.

Clapping the players and supporting the ownership/running of the club aren't necessarily the same thing, however given how incredibly pathetic our lavishly paid players have performed this season and the fact they haven't even done the basics of getting themselves fit to be able to play a 90 minute game, I genuinely dont know what people are clapping? For me you clap for appreciation. Appreciation that we have won or appreciation that the players have given 100% but we may have lost or drawn. When most of our squad clearly haven't been giving their all, and as I said earlier, not even being fit, they genuinely dont deserve praise or applause.

I understand what you're saying about our fans shouldn't turn on each other, but many just cannot understand why some of our fans still support this feckless  owner and applaud these players that have shown utter disdain towards our club.
