Kingy can go with him. Let Sadler take charge. Oh f*** get Sadler out too?

Is there anyone remotely competent left?

I do feel for King. He's been stuck with a bunch of no-mark managers and also been more or less forced to manage for four matches when he was no-where near ready and didn't want the gig in the first place.

The word is, someone had agreed to take over after Marti got the bullet and Kingy was only supposed to be in charge for one game. This person then changed their mind - understandably - and the panic button was hit tying to get a new manager.

That's why King ended up being in charge for four games. Also explains why Rowett made that comment about someone exciting being appointed by Leicester, only for it to be him several weeks later.

Anyway, imagine if King was a coach under Pearson or Ranieri. He'd have learnt ten times what he's had to endure under this shit show.

Maybe Rowetts spreadsheet of players has an age filter on it.

Heck, Rowett strikes me as the sort of person you can use a computer.

Who was the manager then?

That I don't know, but wouldn't be surprised if it was Russell Martin. It's exactly the kind of stroke the club would try and pull.

Except for Bare Goals.  We should give him the last 2 games.  He's out of contract at Chelsea in the Summer, we will have no strikers on the books and despite the manager saying he's for the wing, the lad describes himself as a 9.  Make the last 2 games an audition of sorts.  If he's shit, no harm done.  If he's got something, then there's possibilities there.  No point wasting it on Daka or Ayew.  Unless Rowett brings in Hutchinson for a few games.

None of this will happen of course.

Him, Page, Monga, Otchere, Motsi, Hutchinson, Briggs, Aluko I’d be tempted by. See whether they need loans or can be squad options- all should be bench or starting, you can bet none will

Its not excuse, it was all dross.

Marti played an Oxford that found some form. Rowett played Sheffield Wednesday and a bunch of teams who were band out of form.

I absolutely want to see only youth players on the pitch for the last two games

Thing is - Millwall will know nothing about these players. Maybe Motsi far too young but the rest are fair game.

If we turn up with the OAP's we usually play they will know exactly how to play them.

Whats happened to Silko Thomas?

Not sticking up for Rowett, but Oxford hadn't found form when Marti lost to them, they'd won like 1 in 9 in the league prior

Monga came in at a similar age to Motsi, would have him moreso to try to convince him to get a new contract

Rowett has been shit but this backing of Marti is bizarre. Oxford were not in form when we played them, if anything we gave them momentum. So many times we’ve rolled for utter dross this year. It’s all been rubbish and Cifuentes as manager for 2/3rds of the season and the guy who built the style, the fitness, work ethic and the culture is primarily responsible for this shit show. Rowett did not have the skill to turn it around. Neither of these managers should have ever been here, out of their depth.

He said today our xG had been through the roof- is that true?

Was 3 the other night. Last 4 games I think this been way higher than normal and we actually won the xg battle, which we've been pathetic at this season. That's why those Marti stats in terms of goals are so misleading as we probably created even less than we have done under Rowett

Depends if the fans will support them or not, if we play any youth we can't have the fans hatred of the owners transferring to the pitch. It's not fair on the kids.

Lets face it Daka has been absolutely useless. Criminally bad. If we had a half decent striker we'd have survived.

it's clear that recruitment has been a HUGE issue. Glover needs sacking along with rudkin ASAP

We started the season with Daka as our lead striker, despite already knowing how useless he is. January transfer window comes and goes with no change in up front recognised fire power. Rowett takes over, improves the xg rating but still relies on Daka. We loose to the other dross around us through lack of goals, relegation is guaranteed.

If Daka painted a goal on this garage door for practise, garage door would be fine, house windows not so much so.

It was our biggest mistake this season.  Even a bang average championship striker in place, would probably have kept us up.

McBurnie and Bamford both available in the summer on frees and would have been a massive difference instead we wasted money on Carranza & Vietas

Agree, easy to say that now unfortunately 😕

It was all in on Carranza being the answer and clearly he was no better than what we had. Our recruitment has been awful since we appointed Rodgers but the loan business this year has been bizarre. Carranza, Aribo, Richards, Ramsey all massive misses. James and Mukasa have been good but 2 out of 6 with the money we paid out is not good enough. The striker loan has killed us though.

I think it probably would have helped to have got some defenders who can defend too. Even if we had kept the lead in a few games, or drew a few more instead of losing it makes a big difference. Games like Wrexham at home, Portsmouth at home, Boro away, Stoke away, Ipswich away.

I reckon we let agents do the dirty work and let them run the recruitment now. O’Neill used to know the players character and what he had for breakfast, after watching him for two years, often personally. And character is what was missing.

Which is the reason why it shouldn’t happen.

We’re down and the Millwall game will be difficult anyway and the stadium toxic. Protect those players.

Maybe at Blackburn mix them in then
