Despite all the doom and gloom about signings and overspending we’ve managed to attract some players on loan in the last couple of years that are talked about as being better than the club. If we can keep that up and have a sensible turn over of the players on the books, instead of overpaying wages to retain every player, then the right manager could get us into a healthy league position with entertaining matches. We have an opportunity at the end of this season, as we have had in past seasons, to get our house in order. Will it happen? From past experience, no it won’t, we just find out later about overspending and over paying in regard to league rules.

so yes, I believe we could have a team that could be good enough for promotion next season. Do I believe we will get one if the fan base keeps quiet and sits on their hands… no I don’t

from what I’ve seen so far of Rowett as a manager, I’ve been impressed. Not that we’ve done everything perfectly but we’re now in a position that a win today could put us in a position where we have a couple matches breathing space before we get pulled back into the relegation zone. Yet, there is a lot of tickets still available. In an ideal world we could be protesting the way the club has been run before the match and cheering the team on during the match. Relegation this season would be horrible and I think the crowds at the stadium would be very small next season.

Valid points, but he said get promoted AND stay in the PL.

Do I believe we can finish 8th next season and get in the POs, possibly. Do I believe we'll have a team good enough for promotion and also stay there? No chance, not under the current club structure. Look at the signings last time we got promoted, they were embarrassing.

I’ve noticed the brilliant Leicester fan TV are at it again, asking fans if they would take those last decade as it has been to this point if we were offered it back in 2009……. Just panders to the KPFC fan club.

Tbf it’s a sensible question imo. The last 10 years we have been spoilt after watching dreary depressing football under levein ect in the mid 00’s. Never would I expect us to win the prem fa cup and Europe fixtures ect. While I want KP gone on the whole they have been good for us especially under vichais care. If Vichai was still in charge I really don’t think we’d be in this position.

I doubt there will be as many today, but it’s still worth speaking out against KP

We’ve Won 1 game so everything in the garden is rosy !

2 fans one either end of the banner

respect to the ones who do turn up today and protest

The ones that don’t turn up and clap when we’re poor are partly why we’re in a mess

It’s a stupid question…. Any question that asks to use hindsight is stupid, and it’s just another way to basically say “be grateful for what we’ve had”…..

There’s that, but also the fact that we have a passive fan base who won’t want to protest each match.

It ain’t a stupid question it’s the other side of the argument isn’t it. Thats the brilliance of football it’s a game about opinions. Let’s face it’d be Fuching boring if everybody thought the same.

fair point. I would say I was trying to say we had attracted some good players with the dross, so the potential is there if it can be fulfilled

Be there again. Don't forget the mess they've put us in just because of one win against a crap Bristol City.

We struggled to win against crap team before, so that was a good win for us

I didn't realise it was a trade-off.

the trade off was a better chance in the Champions League run with Claudio or tighten up the premier league results and don’t get relegated with a different manager.

i was in the better chance of champions league success camp lol

Okay, so it invokes debate, which I agree is good.

but it very much lets those responsible off the hook, acting like dropping all the way back as far as we have was a natural trade off for that success, rather than an abberation that no club except maybe Leeds early 2000s (champions league semis to league one in 6 years iirc) have come anywhere near matching.

But like pliskin has said it’s a topic for debate. Everybody has a opinion on the subject wether wright or wrong.

people debate stupid questions (a cynic could make a joke about politics here) that it's a topic that people will debate doesn't mean it's not starting from an incredibly flawed premise

Not as many as there were at the protest against Norwich but hopefully the numbers pick up before the march.

Slowly picking up now.
