Still pretty confused over the turnout or lack of.

Why? It’s been the same for ages. Win a game and people think everything is rosey again, lose and it’s King Power Out.

Our fans aren’t consistent with it which is why it’s going to be hard to force them out.

At this point, dont protest or march, just dont go. The fanbase is divided and at eachothers throats.

Exactly this

protesters whining like petulant children because others won’t join

i won’t join a protest and I keep well away from the ground and games until change is done

protesters still go to the games dont you !

still give them your time effort and money yet cry and moan at others

JUST DONT GO it’s simple

see you in league 2 where hopefully things will be changed

Seriously?

Our fans are lazy, passionless idiots.

.

I can't even be in the ground because of them

Lets be honest about it.

These protests have gone down like a damp squib. A total washout.

With all the media coverage they have had its pretty embarrassing to be honest.

And for the record, i think change is needed but these set of protesters wont make one iota of difference.

Hate to be a smart arse but I made several comments about the protests needing to appeal to quiet people, the silent majority - the few comments replying to the suggestions were criticised and mocked.

Marching and chanting from the horrific f bar won't cut it with boring old fuddy duddies (like me, tho I did do it under duress)  I'm afraid.

To use the modern word, any protest needs to be inclusive.

What do you think is the answer?

And I don’t mean that in an abrasive way, but a genuine one. I think your point is correct. I would hazard a guess that the KP diehards don’t outweigh the protesters at all, though they are a noisy minority on social media.

My thoughts are that there is a much larger majority that agree with the sentiment of the protest but for whatever reason it may be, don’t want to march. Some people just don’t agree with protests in any way shape or form.

When abusive language towards Rudkin was used for example, or suggestions of defacing the statue etc are said, I have felt concerned not out of sympathy for Aiyawatt or the family but that it becomes a less inclusive way of encouraging numbers to make their voice heard.

Looking forward to a list of suggestions from you.

Genuinely what would you propose?

I haven't got all the answers, I'm afraid. But there are lessons from history..

City fans have always been reactionary. The O'Neil protest exploded after the infamous Sheffield United game. The Pleat/Shipman protests followed the umpteenth abysmal home defeat after a similarly small group had spent 18 months calling for change.

Which means

1) protests work better AFTER a bad result. Not before..

2) you've gotta be consistent. And expect little reward

3) the noisy minority need to move to the west stand, as they did in the main stand g block in the pleat days. Believe me, it makes it very very very uncomfortable for the club executive to have protesters at eye level.

Based on that, next home game is suggest a peaceful 1 hour post match protest on the car park. If we win, there'll only be a 100 there. If we lose, a few more.

Also, that home game, if the 200 active protesters all swap tickets to go in the west stand, it'll be very effective. I'd rather the money for the plane went to subsidising the ticket upgrade costs.

Edit; one lone chant helps too. Nine of this Rudkin's a cvnt nonsense. Anybody my age will still vividly be able to hear the strains of 'pleeeeeeaaaat OUT' over and over

The trouble is anybody willing to protest post match doesn’t attend or has already left the ground early enough. It’s reliant on an abysmal performance too (which we do usually provide).

There is no perfect protest, it’s splitting hairs trying to find the ‘optimal’ protest for a fanbase that wouldn’t protest a headache with paracetamol. The route is immaterial, that isn’t the difference maker.

I largely agree.

They were 50 - 100 lads - Baby Squad back then -;who camped in main stand and they alone made it very uncomfortable for the manager and owner until the rest of the crowd finally snapped.

Work smart, not hard. Move to west stand. KP will hate it. The media will love it. And, tbh, encourage quieter fans to do that too. And those quiet ones can, and will, lurk.

I think monkey see monkey do works with these sort of protests, even the two recent ones seemingly picked up more on RDR than were there initially, although I've been close to the front so not seen it very well.

There's a critical mass needed for almost any form of protest action, thankfully a march doesn't need that many. People saying throw tennis balls etc just don't seem to realise that 8-% of the fanbase are stunningly unaware. The KP legion isn't very big and neither is the KP out one, the floating lot are going to be won over by KP failures but that's going to take time we don't have

I made this point a while back - it would only take a group of 50 -100 to sit below the directors box in the west stand and cause a decent stir - anyone with any anger towards KP is likely in other areas of the ground.

Try it, I'm convinced it will work.

Anti KP and Rudkin chants, nice and loud, 25 yards below them? Can't think of anything better. Whilst watching them squirm in their seats

Oh give over. Do you honestly believe that, or are you on the wind up?

It’s all very disheartening isn’t it.

I’ve been at the protests and will continue to do so. I think the main problem is that a lot of the fans who are anti-KP have already been driven away so just aren’t around on a match day.

Full admiration for you Katy to drive and join the protests.

Thanks, I’ll do and keep doing whatever I can. I think you’re right but if people care enough then they’ll find the time to come.
