Do we know what allocation we are getting? Think we will sell this out easily.

We'll get the whole stand if we ask for it which is what 5 or 6 thousand? Can't see us taking that many even if we get a couple of wins before it goes on sale.

The other year we had both tiers and it sold out despite being midweek. It's a fairly easy ground to get too and it's bank holiday this season of course.

have been Hillsborough twice before. Stearman overhead kick where I think we won? and another game we won 2-0 but can't remember the year! drove both times but looking at train this time... how is best to get from station to the other end of penistone road? uber? bus?

You can get the yellow tram from the city centre (5 min walk) to near enough right outside the ground. Or the blue tram out the back of the station to Hillsborough interchange. Equally the bus terminal is across the main road from the station. Not sure if there are any away fan measures for the tram on match days, but I doubt you'd have issue.

Yeah train is easy, nice journey, then get the tram from the city centre as per @LcFc_Smiv post above. I'll be getting the train, albeit only one stop for me. Enough time to get there and a few beers in the centre.

Been an age since we played them and it wasn't mid week. The Railway is the only current option for away fans near the ground, it’s shared with home fans.

when we played Sheff Utd, The Howard was decent right out side the train station i would plan to go there then tram it in later if possible?

Yeah thats maybe the easiest option.
Sheffield does though have a million more better pubs than the Steve Howard though.

Some I really like in the City Centre -

Shakespeares, Dog and Partridge, Grapes, Fagans and Bath Hotel

Cheap gaffs -

Beehive, The Globe and The Cavendish

Sports Bar -

Common Room, Box

Spoons -

Yates, Lloyds and Benjamin Huntsmen (all three are in a row pretty much)

Pubs on the tram route -

Bankers Draft, Cavendish, Beehive, The Ship Inn, The Wellington

Best Hillborough pubs -

New Barrack tavern,  The Queens Ground (only chance for these is after the match)

Not sure what bank holiday Monday does for opening times, whether its a normal Monday hours or if they would different.

3.8k was the allocation last time and it didn’t reach members, so I would think we will get both tiers again.

The price of a ticket for second tier football shouldn’t be £35, but this is more of an exception given Wednesday’s plight. It’s worth putting money into a club of that stature.

Went in a few boozers before the New Year’s Day game. Would avoid the Benjamin Huntsmen Spooners, even without colours, as there was an edge in the air there. The Waterworks Company round the corner was better.

Really liked the Rutland Arms to the left of the station. It was bohemian/studenty but an old fashioned boozer with a great choice of beers. Good name too.

Thanks for this - does anyone know what it's like trying to get back to the centre afterwards. Don't fancy being in a tram queue for ages....

If you're able-bodied, I'd recommend walking up to Middlewood Road where the tram stop is ... and then just walking down the road (Middlewood Rd/Langsett Rd/Infirmary Rd) until you get bored - and get on a tram at one of the stops.    It's mostly a gentle downhill walk all the way to Kelham Island, and there are 5 or 6 tram stops en route.

Tickets go on sale today, but no info on the website. Might have to pick up the phone and do it the old way.

This happened last time we were there. We sold out first allocation / tier and received the other one.
