Jock's Hill Posted 26 June Posted 26 June Every day I think with all the work we need to do, something is happening. Every day nothing happens. Can only imagine our starting X1 as noted by previous poster.
Tuna Posted 26 June Posted 26 June I know we are a disgrace and an utter meme, but just because we don't know about it doesn't mean nowt is happening, just a thought

Maybe everything will take off any day now but I'm doubtful.

AyewJoking Posted 26 June Posted 26 June 5 pages of speculation and criticism that we already have threads for. I understand the thinking for having an official ins and outs thread but somebody got played here

As for the thread I can't control what people choose to post but the thread was meant to be used when we had a new departure or arrival. I guess people are frustrated with nothing happening.
justfoxes Posted 27 June Posted 27 June Just put in Chat GPT which strikers to go for in league one that could score goals in this league and came up with this ! If Leicester City are building a squad to win promotion from League One, they need strikers who: Score 15–25 league goals. Can handle the physical side of League One. Work hard without the ball. Are affordable and realistic. Here are the players I’d target: 1. Lorent Tolaj ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent movement in the box. Clinical finisher. Has been linked with Leicester already. Could become a 20-goal striker in League One. 2. Lyndon Dykes ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Powerful target man. Proven in the Championship and internationally. Leicester have reportedly approached him this summer. Would score plenty with good service. 3. Conor Chaplin Although more of a second striker, he’d be outstanding in League One. Excellent finisher. Intelligent movement. Promotion specialist. 4. Ashley Fletcher Strong, quick and experienced. Knows League One well. A realistic, low-cost option. 5. Johnny Kenny Young with a high ceiling. Natural goalscorer. Could develop into a star with regular minutes. 6. Lawrence Shankland Outstanding finisher. Scores consistently wherever he plays. Would be expensive but could dominate League One. Dream strike partnership Lorent Tolaj Lyndon Dykes Tolaj provides pace and finishing, while Dykes offers strength, aerial ability and hold-up play—a combination well suited to League One. Budget option If Leicester have limited funds: Lyndon Dykes (free or low fee) Ashley Fletcher My top five realistic targets Lorent Tolaj Lyndon Dykes Conor Chaplin Johnny Kenny Ashley Fletcher Signing two from that list should give Leicester enough firepower to challenge for automatic promotion, provided they also create chances consistently from midfield and the wings. 2

Oldblueyes Posted 29 June Posted 29 June Don't worry, all these new season ticket holders can clap on the 8 players that we can muster for the 1st game. Two of whom will be goal keepers and a sub, who is the 12 year old son of the electrician. 😜

GiantDave Posted 29 June Posted 29 June (edited) Pretty obvious why no signings, you need more earners off the books otherwise we'll breech financial rules again. Our current wages still breech financial rules. Edited 29 June by GiantDave
ClaphamFox Posted 30 June Posted 30 June So today is our last day under the 2025/26 PSR regime. Yet despite the transfer window having been open for more than two weeks, we haven't sold a single player. Does this mean we're so confident of avoiding a breach for 25/26 that we're deliberately delaying sales until 1 July onwards to maximise revenue for 2026/27 SCMP? Or have we just decided that it's impossible to avoid a breach so there's no point in trying? 1
Smig123 Posted 30 June Posted 30 June You'd like to think things will start moving next week once the contracts etc expire 1 2

They will then begin from a standing start working on one deal at a time. Most of our activity will come on deadline day as usual with those players missing all of pre season. Semper Eadem.
surrifox Posted 30 June Posted 30 June (edited) Give Rudkin a break he’ll have been busy running round buying cakes and getting “ sorry you’re leaving” cards signed all day today Edited 30 June by surrifox

filthyfox Posted 2 July Posted 2 July Just read a clickbait headline... EFL CLUB RE-SIGN TWO PLAYERS 24 HOURS AFTER RELEASING THEM. Imagine if that were Daka and Ayew! 2 1
AyewJoking Posted 2 July Posted 2 July does "Rromotion Specialist" go hand in hand with "Relegation Specialist"?
