Reset 🤣🤣🤣

Because Top will get it right next year won’t he ?

Give me strength !
The penny just doesn’t drop with our fans does it !

He ain’t selling anytime soon. When I say reset I mean clear out all the deadwood. Penny has dropped ive supported Leicester for 36 years now so pretty much seen most of our ups and downs. Some fans think dropping down to league one will help. Not a chance will be gone in a few years

"If found guilty, West Brom face a points deduction which, according to the EFL's sanctioning guidelines, would be applied this season and potentially mean they drop into the relegation zone."

But, if they appeal against it?

It won’t make any difference getting rid of the deadwood if the 2 clowns don’t change their ways and they never will.

Leopards don’t change their spots

More pain, more bad management, more debt, more despair, more frustration, more high wages, more scatter gun approach to transfers, more late transfer windows etc etc etc

I think 2023 and 2026 are quite a bit worse than 2025 - even accounting for that terrible, goalless losing run under RVN.

Competing in the PL is hard. It's not in the Championship. Not if you're sensible. Never mind the money/wages we've thrown around.

The worse thing about 2025 was that it should have been a year of banking PL money and building for the future; instead we did a halfway house - an expensive, piss poor attempt at staying up which was never likely to work and also lumbered us with the next tranche of dross players, further hamstringing us in the Championship...

I'd say it's the least bad of the three and yet this is a side that spent money to make a short term fist of staying up while serving up one of the most abject seasons a Premier League side has ever served up. Maybe for the fact we were lucky enough to fluke playing the other two already relegated teams at home is what bumped it up to 1.5/10 rather than 1/10 on the other occasions.

All this noise of a points deduction will encourage the players to put the performances in and get the points they need. That's how it works, right?

I'd imagine it probably would at an actual functioning football club. Fully expect a galvanised West Brom to win at Preston this weekend.

I am very confused, if breaking PSR means you are losing money, and the league does not want this, how does points deduction solve anything? Doesn’t that just make the situation worse? Shouldn’t the solution just be transfer bans, you can no longer spend money to bring players in, or you have a threshold of how much you can spend on players, then the teams have to figure out how to cut cost, and then once you are in the positive then the bans are removed.

Football is becoming a financial mess for most clubs with the majority making a loss. It's the only business I can think of that is happy to have more expenses for employees than income. Something needs to happen. Just a fine? That would just add to the debt.

To me there should be a maximum a club can lose, but if you go over this the owner should make a cash injection which isn't a loan. If you can afford to play with the big clubs then do it, but you shouldn't be able to jeopardise the future of a football club. Would you have got into this mess if Top had to make a big cash gift each year there was a big overspend?

I don’t understand how it can be this season for the appeal reason

unless the sanction is effectively irrelevant by the time it’s applied because it doesn’t relegate them. If a 1 point deduction would relegate them then it wouldn’t be applied until next season to avoid the issue.

In Spain, and perhaps elsewhere, each club has to submit a valid financial plan for the following season before the current one has finished.

If the Spanish league doesn´t accept it then that club is relegated, before the current season has finished (but still has to fulfil its fixtures).

Any chance these buggers could be going into administration?

Haven't heard anything and I believe it would kick in next season.

I don't want us to stay up if it means West brom go down as a result of the points deduction (and we miraculously decide to win games). We deserve to go down due to years of ineptitude. I question the morality of giving West Brom a points deduction this late in the season, especially considering how long ours took

Its the rules, any PSR points deduction has to be applied in the following season.

WBA submitted their accounts without £5 million interest payments on loans from previous owners and complied in their opinion.

The EFL are disputing they should be included which is why they could fail and its taking longer.

The whole of PSR is fcuking stupid, every club tries to bend the rules, it should be scrapped.

A valid financial plan?

Good job Leicester isn't based in Spain or perhaps elsewhere :(

How on earth could we provide one of those :dunno:

We'd be in the Conference now 🙂

It won't make a difference to Leicester anyway

My understanding is worst case scenario is a 4 point deduction which still leaves them 1 point above us and unbeaten in 7 and finishing the season at Sheffield Wednesday

We still finish way below them!

I bet we hear something on this before the w/end.

Win win this for WBA they are going to get a 3pt deduction EFL will say we have hit them hard & did what we said we would by giving deductions in the same season & WBA will say ok we won’t fight it, because they don’t need to now.

Its going to be a totally pointless punishment & every other team in the league would rather punishment comes for the start of next season
