Football is very broken. Players are now paid too much which doesn't give them motivation to work hard. They also develop egos because they know they cant be sacked for poor performance. Whatever happens, they are paid. Managers are the easy targets because players just say "nah, don't like him, I'm going to stop trying". Then the manager get the sack for poor team performance. What happens when a toddler doesn't learn that actions can have consequences? They can gain a selfish attitude, same with the players.

How many other jobs does an employee get paid more than their manager/seniors?

Also, it's all about money. You haven't got enough, then you struggle. If you put too much in? You can got with points deduction. You're a big club, you're fine.

The main issue is money. There's too much in the game now and it's broken these days, and we're a classic case of it.

It's always broken when your team is in the shit..no mention of this when we we're flying high.

Definitely......It's Leicester City that are broken.

Not for me. Leicester’s the only football I watch nowadays whereas before I used to watch absolutely everything I could.

I hadn’t watched the Prem other than Leicester for about five years now and the Champions League for even longer.

I'm fairly similar too, started to lose interest in 2019 season, then the fun and games started in 2020 and I did not miss it one bit, was almost glad to be locked out of the stadium

Sat in the ground for the 'lightshow' before the Liverpool game on Boxing Day 2019 and thought this is just the beginning of the end for me bothering with it.

I used to love watching the big tournaments too, but now possibly won't even turn on a game for the forthcoming WC

But I still love the game as I went to 20+ non-league games last season.  Players are more like us. they have jobs, talk to the supporters and are actually likeable.  Not so keen on the 'limbs' brigade that seems to be moving to some non-league clubs, thankfully not mine!

I just cannot stand the big clubs anymore, so I'm like you in that I could not care if Leicester won the PL ever again as I won't be there now.

I don't want to donate to hard-up millionaires every week keeping them in the luxury they do not deserve!

I don't know, there are elements that are broken even if we were successful. There definitely needs to be something performance related built into all contracts. Players can not just get long term reward for utterly disgusting performances over a sustained period, there is no other job on earth where you can do that.

Far too much money being paid to players, even filtering down to non league level.

VAR has been applied appallingly in the main.

Extremely limited players trying to play like prime Barca, realising they can't and most first halfs turning into a procession of pass x 20 launch ball to other teams defence. Watch other team do the same, rinse and repeat. As a neutral it's a chore to watch and I've found myself watching far fewer games.

I still love the game, I wouldn't be posting on here if I didn't. I guess it's always that hope of seeing a classic match between two teams trying to score goals rather than register the most passes.

I take small pleasures watching the awful style of football result in ridiculous goals where a striker is played in by a defender. You'll see it 10-20 times a week if you watch the highlights of league and national league games.

It's not in a great state atm, but there's always the hope of change.

Coming up to the best part of the season now. Huge one off matches where teams are fighting to stay in leagues, play offs, promotion and titles. These are the times that keep you hooked.

Really elite football like the Champions League is at least extremely good quality and very entertaining. Here it's awful because the quality is crap but you still have all the bullshit associated with the top few levels of English football.

I find champions league games boring, I think the quality peaks at championship level.
