Not only does this having to go through Rudkin undermine his authority to act but it adds to the timescale of decision making.

I'm convinced it was done by Top to placate the anti Rudkin fans but he's way off with his thinking he he thought that would work.

It's laughable

Our only hope now is that by some fluke they come up with a manager that all factions of fans can get behind - I'm finding it difficult to think of one. Maybe our best bet is some one from a foreign league that most haven't heard off.

Yep, it needs to be a fresh slate candidate like Enzo was to have any chance of not being judged by the fanbase before they get in the door.

No prove but if we are interested in Dave Challinor then obviously nothing can happen until Stockport finish their season?

I really hope that we go for him. For where we are now he ticks all the right boxes.

Top/Rudkin waiting to pounce after the season ends for Stockport :crylaugh:. Don't hold your breath!

I would only consider Paul Warne.

Got Rotherham & Derby out of League 1.

Went up with MK Dons from L2 this season.

Knows the lower leagues.

Yea but how much freedom does he have. Anyone seen his Job Description, has he still got to go through Rudkin before it gets to Top?

The problem with Warne is what happens after promotion. His record in the Championship is absolutely abysmal, and while it'd be foolish to understate how crucial a promotion might be for us, I do think we need to look further than the short-term fixes for once. Going up and needing to either fire a popular manager, overhauling his style of play in the process, or get relegated, isn't a great choice. If we want a promotion specialist then someone a little less tainted like Challinor might be the better bet.

I 100% get where you are coming from here.. and agree with your post,

but I think that we are so far up the creek without a paddle and with an added problem of a hole in the bottom that  promotion is a must, especially from a financial standpoint.

Normally I'd hope that we would appointed a manager with a view to grow and improve each season, but I don't think currently we have the luxury of that option at present.

But hey....it's all academic anyway as Kvnt Top,  Teflon Jon and Co.will just follow form and continue to fvck everything up in exactly the same way, making carbon copies of the same mistakes.

Nothing will happen until well into the summer anyway. Aiyawatt and Rudkin are probably on their annual cruise together celebrating their success.

And to think Unai Emery was available and it wasn't complete pie in the sky when we at the end of the road with brogers.

How we have fallen.

By the time Rodgers had completely sabotaged the club it was too late, however if our cretinous board had acted on him when they should have (I.e 12 months earlier) then yeah, I’ve always maintained that Emery was a realistic appointment.

Now we'll be lucky to get a bit of Emery cloth to rub the fans up the wrong way.

He definitely was. Villa's approach actually seems to be fairly similar to us under Rodgers in the fact that they've given him the keys and he has pretty much full control. Key difference being Emery forced their DoF out which we know would never happen to Teflon Jon.

How about MON?

He’ll be made permanent at Celtic, especially if they manage to win the league.

And even in the unlikely event he doesn’t get the job there’s no way he’s coming here.

He would never work under our joke hierarchy.

Challinor would have had dozens of offers over the years whilst at Stockport. They're an ambitious, well run club where he's well aligned the higher ups - I sincerely doubt he'd give that up to come here
