I can quite happily do without an apology, personally. Wouldn't mean anything, or change anything. If they are sorry for their litany of avoidable failures then they can express that by actually doing something about them. I need another insincere, likely AI-generated missive from our glorious leader and his underlings like I need a hole in the head.

People are always asking for more communication which I understand but every written or verbal statement that comes out of the club and its figureheads only serves to make me less confident in them. Ideally I'd like them to all just say absolutely nothing for the foreseeable future because I don't think they have anything worth communicating to us at all.

I actually wanted the apology.

This bit: As custodians ofLeicester City Football Club, it is our responsibility to ensurethat we operate within the regulations that govern the game. In this instance, we fell short of those expectations.

I'm glad us & Sheffield Wednesday won at the weekend, so the KPFC lot can't say the six point deduction didn't make any difference.

The six points didn't relegate us.

When it mattered, the players folded. When things went against them, they didn't step up when teams around them did.

If it went down to the final game against Blackburn with both teams' Championship status on the line, what would have happened when Blackburn scored, at any point in the game, either taking the lead, equalising, or pulling one back to reduce a deficit? Our players didn't perform when they needed to. Three points in a dead rubber doesn't alter what would have almost certainly happened anyway.

As much as the club is responsible for the financial sh!tshow that gave us a points deduction and made the players' and coaches' jobs more difficult, the players reacted to every setback they suffered last season negatively.

With one or two exceptions, it's the culture of this team that relegated us.

I wanted to hear: As custodians of Leicester city! Stop the King Power narrative, sort it out, bring back blue and white. I’ll support a team that competes within our limits and respects our history. I couldn’t give 2 hoots about your company or the King of Thailand.

To all Leicester City supporters,

This has been one of the most painful periods in our club’s recent history. The six‑point deduction imposed this season, and the resulting relegation, have brought deep disappointment, frustration, and anger. We understand those emotions completely, and today we want to address them directly.

First and foremost, we are sorry. Sorry for the position the club has found itself in. Sorry for the consequences that have followed. And sorry to every supporter who has had to endure a season defined by uncertainty, disruption, and ultimately, heartbreak.

While we may not agree with every aspect of the process that led to the deduction, we accept the outcome. As custodians of Leicester City Football Club, it is our responsibility to ensure that we operate within the regulations that govern the game. In this instance, we fell short of those expectations.

We want to be clear: the blame does not lie with the players, the staff, or the supporters. The responsibility rests with us — the leadership of this football club. We must do better, and we will do better.

Over the coming weeks, we will undertake a full and transparent review of our internal processes, financial governance, and decision‑making structures. This will include:

  • Strengthening compliance and oversight

  • Improving communication between football operations and senior management

  • Ensuring that future strategic decisions protect the long‑term stability of the club

  • Implementing reforms to prevent anything like this from happening again

Relegation hurts. It hurts all of us. But it does not define Leicester City. This club has faced adversity before and emerged stronger. We are determined to do the same again.

We remain fully committed to supporting the manager, the players, and the staff as we prepare for the challenge ahead. Our goal is clear: to rebuild, to restore pride, and to return Leicester City to the level where we belong.

To our supporters — thank you. Your loyalty, passion, and resilience are the heartbeat of this club. We will work tirelessly to earn back your trust.

We will learn. We will improve. And together, we will rise again.

We were deducted points but we were still in a reasonable position. What happened next in terms of us winning games/gaining points is just bizarre. We simply collapsed. There is no excuse for it.

The women's team have been poor too. There just seems to be a culture of acceptance rather than accountability.

We put a new structure in place some time ago. This is not a time for sitting on hands and holidays. The work has to start now (if it has not already). People are going to lose their jobs because the club will need to cost cut but that cannot just be the tea lady and the club shop cleaner (they have probably performed in their roles as they should and are not to blame) it has to be higher up in the organization or nothing will change.
