Why didn't you share this? You'd be the best foxestalk ITK this year!!!!

Ha I think somebody else did say. Problem was that he had no idea where, he just said it would ‘be close’.

I actually have sympathy for the club with this one, having seen the pitch in person I can confirm it was absolutely dreadful.

That being said, they should be putting on a coach from the old venue to the new, or maybe offering fans a way to offer/request car shares as I imagine there’s a lot who will have hired cars having flown into Malaga.

If I buy a ticket for an event, any event, and the event is cancelled or rearranged, I expect my money back. That's all. I don't expect, and won't get, any travel or accommodation costs back unless I've taken out travel insurance to cover it.

If I book travel and a hotel to go and see Oasis, and they cancel the gig, they don't give me the travel and hotel money back. Just the ticket money.

That said, given the relatively small numbers of fans there, and the drop in the ocean it would be for the club's finances, if I was the club I'd splash out on a coach or two for the fans who are there. (But if I was a fan who was there I wouldn't stamp my entitled little feet and have a hissy fit about it.)

We arent talking about an oasis gig being cancelled an hour down the road.

We are talking about people having booked time off work, booked flights and booked hotels, all pre paid.

Don't talk such nonsense whilst sat at home in England.

You here? Thought not.

Want me to send you my bank details to refund me my hotel, coaches etc that are all booked?

The pitch wasn't THAT bad.

Sorry to hear this mate. What a shambles of a club. At the very least they should be offering compensation for travel/accommodation disruption. It’s not like 1000s have travelled. It’s a small number of diehards. It’s another PR disaster which so easily could have been turned to their advantage with a simple gesture.

Sympathy with the club, wow really. A basic due diligence check before travelling would have confirmed the pitch wasn’t up to standard. I have huge sympathy for you the fans that travelled but this is entirely of the clubs own making.

Don't be daft. Read what I said. I know exactly what we are talking about, I mentioned it all, and I said what the club should do about it, and what it's absurd to expect them to do about it.

Your exactly right mate, I am the mug here.

Club absolutely stinks.

Mates on the phone to Jim now. Offering 50 euros compensation...

Well- a taxi costs 70 euros each way...   apparently

If there that bad why you followed them round Spain in pre season??

On this occasion it's not really the club's fault....

How is it not the clubs fault?

Due diligence would have found the stadium was not suitable.

Its 100% the clubs fault.

Chatting absolute nonsense.

Absolutely no way Vichai allows this. He would despise what the clubs become.

You trying to divert the blame from the clubs to the fans that have travelled to support their club says enough about you.

It's not. The club isn't exactly going to send a team over to check the playing surfaces out....

It's unfortunate obviously but the club aren't going to get involved in hotels etc. if we were in Europe and the game got postponed for any reason, you think the club would refund hotels ?? Come on.

Yes I have some sympathy with them, the pre season tours are booked significantly in advance. This trip was arranged by Gary Rowett btw, none of the current regime.

They played a game there and then made a decision on entirely reasonable grounds to move the game and avoid player injury. We would all be absolutely furious if the pitch contributed to a loss of one of our players for any period of time.

I also obviously have a lot of sympathy for the fans still there/travelling out there.

Those two things are not mutually exclusive.

You chat absolutely waffle.

Name another big club that's had to cancel / rearrange a friendly because theyve accidently booked a sunday league pitch?

Thought not, Tara.

Nonsense.

Only LCFC could accidently book a friendly at a sunday league pitch.

By your own admission you were so drunk at the first game you don’t remember it…. Which is typical of a certain set of fans who moan about pricing etc but spend double the amount per game on booze lol

Id say it’s decent of them to offer compensation, genuinely.

I’m not moaning. They’ve played a game, then they’ve moved it to a better location after playing there. It’s probably ten times worse than it usually is at that ground due to all the heat recently.

As I say, take your £50 and spend it on enough beers to not be able to remember your taxi rides on Saturday….

No disrespect intended, but do you think before you type? I'm yet to see a well reasoned point from you in this whole discussion about the venue being changed and the rationale behind it. You've also mentioned people being "sat at home" on more than one occasion as if it makes them any less of a Leicester fan than you are, when in reality, most of us work and might find it difficult to book time off during the summer holidays and another portion of people are unlikely to travel abroad to watch us play pre-season friendlies after the dross served up the last couple of seasons. Also, who is Tara?

I'd advise you to take your own advice, log off, take in the sights of Spain and live a little rather than arguing with people on a Leicester forum on your phone. Maybe enquire at the local hospital if they've got any spare braincells to replenish those that have evidently been lost on this trip of yours.

I mean...it does, but yeh.

No it means the manager is unhappy with the pitch and he's going to try and influence a change.

Unless he said that bastard Rudkin booked this shithole and I'm going to short it out.....

Enjoy the taxi ride pal.

Actually if I was you I would go and explore Cadiz, it will be a lot more interesting.
