Who was the last player we sold for profit we paid money for? Hermansen?

Yeah just looked, £3m profit on a player with 100+ PL appearances in his prime

We actually made a slight profit on Bilal.

Souttar would have about £5m left. You seldom see swap deals anymore, quite possibly for this reason.

not officially anyway, often teams do swap deals but record them as separate deals just for accounting reasons but if one deal collapsed they'd both be off

if the Smith mentioned above is the striker he's a decent player at league one level, not sure who the other one is

We've treated him awfully since signing him. Yes he's had injuries but he's never been played even when he's been fit. And sent out on loan.

Could have been really useful but who could blame him for wanting out?

Overlooked because he isn't viewed as a ball player. He's miles better than the likes of Vestergaard and Faes.

this is not accurate. We actually paid 19m for him, the rest was bonuses that were never activated and they also paid a larger loan fee than what was reported. Also, there’s some very generous easily attainable bonuses added in that are not being reported in the fee, so that will take it even higher.

Hopefully the aussies get to last 16 and puts up an unreal display against the argies to put his price up

he’s got 1 year left on his contract so I don’t imagine we’d turn away more than 5m for him.. he was never that big of a wager earner compared to the others, I don’t think…

I don't mean this aggressively but can you provide a source? I'd be genuinely interested.

I agree that transfermarkt valuations are often a bit woolly at best but I don't think I've ever seen anything comprehensively written about BEK.

I'd be extremely surprised if we made a profit.

well the source is my relative who works at the club, but I’d be very surprised if some of the details are not out there away from the agent-fed mainstream media. I’ll have a look.. waiting on a colleague so we can see a patient  so I have a couple of minutes

Your relative that works at the club and is an accountant or your relative that works at the club and sells programmes?

I appreciate you can't exactly name them but can you at least verify their credibility haha.

they work in the administration department. They were one of the people who met the owners on their first day ever at the Walkers stadium  after purchasing the club. He gave them a tour of the stadium.

He’s the same one who told me we didn’t pay 30m for Perez. Few other things, aswell.  I just don’t go bombarding  him for info. Just chat about stuff every now and then.
