1st is automatic promotion, 2nd and 3rd play off and the winner of that then faces 13th from the top flight for the final place in the WSL.

 

I think Leicester have a strong enough squad for top three, but unless they change their approach they’ll just be cannon fodder again next season if they do go up.

Only change of approach that'll see them compete at the next level is a club takeover I'd say.

Under Top it’s never going to change. Just hope new owners are prepared to back the women’s team

First time I've really watched a match for any length of time. Absolutely woeful quality from both teams. Lucky to get the win in the end.  Is it usually this bad?

Other than the very top teams in women's football, this is what you're mostly going to see.

a good performance, glad to see Keane start in goal, the 2 new CBs looked good, I though Pelgander had a really good game and isa little unlucky to get a second yellow when I didn't hear a whistle either, the loanee winger looked really lively

Didn't get chance to watch this properly, so can't comment on the performance. Good to see a win on the board... it's been a while.

Hopefully we can build on it a little bit more next weekend against Durham at home.

 

Re. Some mentioning that the quality of football is bad, not all football is played like prime Barcelona. Yes, it's not the best quality football, if you don't like it, just stick to watching paint dry in the Premier league.

We had better players a couple of years ago but under this manager it's been woeful. Also this is WSL2, in women's football terms it's virtually non-league.

The WSL has gone the same way. 4 teams (sponging off their male counterparts for funding) win everything and the rest just exist. Spurs v West Ham in the WSL is as dull as any mid-table Prem game to be fair.

 

They'll struggle to grow it any further than it is unless they make the teams survive as their own stand alone clubs and introduce a bit more competitiveness into the thing.
