Hopefully it will come good so keep your chins up everyone, frustrating but they are gelling slowly. Meanwhile we all look nervously at an AFC Wimbledon vs Wigan Athletic game. Along way from that Spurs v Chelsea game eh?

Personally, I think the one area I’m struggling is why we can’t acknowledge that it was a good performance but the result was disappointing. Both things can be true.

Some people wont be happy until were in administration.

Sadly it feels that way so that they can say “I told you so”, even despite the majority actually agreeing.

Thomas not scoring over 8 is criminal for me too. I’ve been Thomas out for years now but it’s important to acknowledge when someone plays well too. He was easily an 8 out of 10 for me. Both centre backs had a great game yesterday.

When a side as impotent as MK Dons were yesterday, no chance that you give a CB such a high score solely on their defending.

Watching back the highlights, our first three chances came from Souttar’s raking passes.

Braybrooke, Joseph and Page played again and looked great. We had 24 shots - hit the woodwork twice. They didn’t threaten. Their GK was MOTM.

A lot of people are so desperate to get him sacked that everything is viewed in the negative. Bizarre at this stage of the season, particularly considering the rebuild being undertaken.

Merely pointing out he absolutely can be criticised on certain things yesterday, what you've typed out here doesn't change that.

The fact you only point to negatives in what was a positive performance suggests you want him to fail?

Nope, I've said in numerous individual players threads that x, y and z played well. Your initial post said you "can't see how he can be criticised today (yesterday)" — I simply jotted down a few reasons why he could.

Theirs is a desperation for Martin to fail for many fans on here that entirely skews their opinion of a game.

My mindset is that with our squad of many untested kids playing, after two terrible seasons and a downward momentum courtesy of Top anc Rudkin, we are not entitled to win anything. This is not directly Martin’s fault. He has inherited a lot of problems and it’s too early to call for his sacking, particularly when there has been a clear improvement in performances.

Yeah this doesn't change what I said to counter your original post.

I don't get how you can't wrap your head around something so black and white.

I'll reiterate (again!!!). You said Martin couldn't be criticised for anything yesterday. I pointed out a few reasons why he could be. That's all there is to it.

Who cares if it’s not Martin’s fault we were relegated? You’re missing the point.

We don’t want him. We will never forgive King Power for what they’ve done. You can’t just lower expectations because the people responsible for our club aren’t good enough to deliver what we should expect.

You seem to think that because it’s a new season there’s a clean slate, there isn’t. Russell Martin is the same guy who managed Rangers and Southampton, Top is the same guy who has ruined the club over the last few seasons.

They’re poison and need to be removed ASAP. Who cares if the 0-0 at MK Dons in the third tier was an ok performance?

Why is Martin poison? Purely because he’s been appointed by Top? Or because he’s been sacked by Rangers?

There’s been positives with his recruitment - he’s playing the kids - for those who have some involvement in coaching they’ll recognise he plays interesting challenging football, much like Enzo did. It might fail but so did Rowett pragmatic ball.

Honest question - Is there any manager you’d be happy with whilst Top is still here? Or do you want all football to pause  and no manager appointed until a new owner is found?

Quite a few didn’t want him to begin with. I certainly didn’t, any I’m not prepared to give him a chance because he is shit, and we won’t improve and he will get sacked, so, we may as well sack him now.

I don’t get this comment? Why? I’m not lay on  the floor in a crumpled mess every time I think about Leicester….. my opinion is what it is, we are ****ed until Top sells up, so…. I don’t spend hours and hours thinking about how crap we are, I’ve got rid of my season ticket, I’ve watched one game and that’s it. I rely on one or two of my mates who still go to tell me what’s happening….. otherwise popping on here a couple of times a day is literally my association with the club at the moment…..

So, a very minor % of my life is now taken up by Leicester…… I don’t have time to be exhausted….. in terms of Martin I’ve never rated him, he’s crap, his football is crap, his general career has been underwhelming and so far he is proving to still be crap. Fairly simple thought process.

For once we were just unlucky. Get the frustration. We are are a competent striker from getting autos/play offs. Annoyingly the club don't see this.

Personally I’m stick and tired of being told to ‘trust the process’ and despite the obvious drop in levels, we haven’t levelled off into competence. That’s exhausting

He’s poison because he only cares about himself, not the club. It’s a running theme. He’ll play his brand of football because it keeps getting him jobs, not results.

You remember that Pearson bloke? There was someone who you could tell wanted the club to be successful. His tactics weren’t always great, but you could tell from minute 1 that he was trying to improve the club’s fortunes.

Martin is here to make it all about him. That’s his personality. He doesn’t care if the style of football doesn’t work, because what’s important to him is that it makes him look like a visionary. And when it doesn’t work, he can just say the players weren’t ready for it. He’s cut from the same cloth as Rodgers and it was his personality that killed us. You can’t have characters like that managing things.

I would be happy to see a manager who says he wants to play fast, attacking football, take risks in the opposition half, and for the players, playing for the big club of this division, to back themselves to outscore teams. More than that, a manager who does what he says he’s going to do.

You speak as if people wouldn’t be happy with any manager - when in fact the club have hired the one man absolutely everybody doesn’t want. That’s after numerous appointments of no marks, inexperienced media darlings, and every single one playing this horrendous possession-centric football which has been repeatedly discredited on a statistical, logical and entertainment level.

Your post only makes you another disingenuous gaslighter. You know full well what we want. You just don’t like hearing it because then you’d have to accept that every single thing about this club you devote your time to is a disgrace and a waste of your time.

Again, this fan base and forum is full of people who think that positivity is a greater virtue than honesty or pride. Wake up.
