Similar for me, saw my first game in 1958 & this is undoubtably the worst we've ever been.

I still enjoy match days, especially away, meeting friends pre-game for a drink. However I find the football sterile & boring & my passion for the team is nothing like it used to be, although this may be a bit of an age thing. I am disgusted what has happened to the club & that no-one has been accountable & I am sure that administration will come as we must be losing loads of money every week. Whether that would mean the end of the club who knows. If we are liquidated I'll probably never go to watch a game of football again, just be a TV watcher

In this instance the age thing may be a help. Although still passionate about the club I'm more able to keep things in perspective. If this was happening when I was in 20s or 30s etc I would be apoplectic

When our restart at 0-4 went backwards and out for a throw I was definitely in a “Phil reaching for his baseball bat” state of rage.
For the ladies sitting nearby I must clarify I actually screamed “Arthur Forksache” to my mate, Arthur Forksache who I spotted in the crowd and was frantically windmilling my arms just to get his attention. Honestly

That thermometer is a pretty accurate representation of my own sentiment throughout this disastrous journey, which began with Brendan Rodgers persisting with Danny Ward for 26 consecutive games and getting us relegated in the process.

Back then, I thought we had reached the bottom. Russell Martin has since arrived with a shovel.

Not pleased that a copy and paste job has out laughing emoji’d my protracted and thoroughly sculpted workpiece in the OP. Keeping tabs on you. Phil

I’m at the point where I’ve clocked out.

Football at his heart is meant to be entertaining and enjoyable. This is like continuing watching a TV series that had an IMDb rating of a 10/10 for the first 5 seasons, then has dropped to a bloody 1/10 for the past 3. You’d give it up!

Anyhow, my Phil Rating.

I have surpassed this scale. I’m in full Zoe slater mode, not sure who my

mother is but I’m praying she’s not from Leicester so I can support someone else. Thanks. Zoe.
