These statements are great but what can the FoxesTrust actually do to get the club to listen?

All very good calling for discussion with the club but what's stopping the club from putting these letters straight into the bin? That's what appears to be happening.

Not to speak on their behalf (I'm a member but I'm not at all involved with the running of the Trust), there isn't anything anyone can do to make someone listen if they don't want to. But I'd argue that's kind of the point. If you continually point out that you're suggesting things and being knocked back, and things continue to go wrong, you've really done all you can at that stage.

I've said this before, the club do exactly as they please in absolutely every circumstance. King Power have been here getting on for 2 decades, every single process, staff member, every single element of the culture has been meticulously built to be exactly how they want it. They do exactly what they want at every opportunity and have no desire to take any outside opinion on board.

But that shouldn't stop people pointing out how pig headed the whole set up is.

I wasn't asking it facetiously.  I was more interested if there was more that could be done. They absolutely should be pointing out how rotten the club is but it doesn't feel like a statement on social media gets very far.

Do they have meetings with the club face to face?

I don't know to be completely honest but I suspect the club would just hide behind the "Fan Consultative Committee" framework, again another totally fabricated, optional system that is designed to slow down and frustrate anyone trying to drive any kind of change or improvement from the fans' side.

At this point, you can put out all the statements you want. It's like peeing in the wind.
If you want to be seen and heard, you have to make a ruckus and protest in the stadium, outside the stadium, around the city.
The first and most vital point is to try to unite the different fan factions - it's no good if only a quarter or fans actually do any meaningful actions.
Take some lessons from clubs abroad about how to protest. Just wagging the finger isn't going to do anything.

That’s a fairly anaemic statement from the Trust, sadly.

I understand as presumably they still want a relationship with the club (?). It just doesn’t really convey the breathtaking decline and scale of ineptitude by those running the club, imo. Everyone seems scared to offend/upset the preciously thin-skinned owner.

Nothing will change until Top is publicly and consistently called out as the architect in chief of this sh*tshow. Rudkin will then just be collateral.

How did a club with such sporting and financial opportunities allow the decline to continue through three separate relegations?

Financial mismanagement, points deduction, record breaking losing streaks….and it’s still getting worse. The quality of managerial appointments are matters of opinion, but the facts would suggest that these have also been poorly thought through.

I’m sure someone with more intelligence than me can put together a compelling, stat-based, anti-business plan of what we have spectacularly achieved in such a short space of time.

Bit of a lukewarm statement to be honest, I'm afraid.

John Rudkin isn't going to confirm or deny the club is for sale either - logically there is no benefit to do so , he would risk some awkward follow on questions and they could have agreed a media blackout on the topic as a condition of a bid from a preferential buyer, these kind of things happen.

These statements need to be done on a black document with white text imo just think they look a bit too nice and friendly the way they are presented. Need to be a bit more stark but what do I know
