Tottenham coach, Martin Jol has given credit to Leicester City for their hard fought comeback from two goals down at the Walkers Stadium.

Leicester were trailing 2-0 with goals from Jermaine Jenas and a cracking first Tottenham goal for right back Paul Stalteri. Leicester however pulled a goal back before half time and managed to go on and win the tie 3-2.

Jol said, “All credit to Leicester - they never gave up. I thought we played well in the first-half and cannot remember Paul Robinson having to make a save. But the goal before the break gave them a lifeline and we did not do enough in the second-half. Even after it was 2-2 I did not think it was a problem but if you give away a goal in the last few minutes then you give yourself a real problem."

The Spurs boss now says his team have to concentrate on getting into Europe via the premiership, “We now have to concentrate on the league.†Jol said

Good of him to credit us, at least he is honest!!

Did anyone else think it was good of Paul Robinson to clap us on his way to the goal before the 2nd half got underway?? I thought this was brilliant even though he doesn't play for us!!

Werent some Leicester fans singing Englands number 1 to him?

He reminds me of that bloke of the Grolsch advert.

I always used to call him Martin Grolsch!

Don't expect less of him. He's an honest manager... don't quite agree with his assesment of the fírst half though. Felt we matched them in the 1st and were better than them in the 2nd half...

The Spurs fans were singing it, some of the Leics fans responded with...

'Scotlands number 8, Scotlands, Scotlands number 8'

:ph34r::whistle::P

EDIT: ...which was a bit of a diservice to Rab as he had a good game.

His assessment is fairly accurate, the 1st half they were much the better team we wasnt closing them down and hungry to play in their half, 2nd half different story we made every effort to pen them in and got what we deserved.
