theboywillmott Posted 19 February 2006 Posted 19 February 2006 Apart from picking the ball out of the net after the peno, Henderson didn't really have much to do but he still looked safe. After recent performances from Rab (that woeful punch leading to a goal against Brighton still sticks in my mind ) do you think Henderson should stay between the sticks? I'm not sure how long Rab is out for but if Hendo keeps doing well I hope Kelly stick s with him!
Fox 4 Life Posted 19 February 2006 Posted 19 February 2006 I would definitely stick with Henderson, make Rab realise he is not a cert for no. 1
Jay Posted 19 February 2006 Posted 19 February 2006 just a shame Hendersons kicking is beyond poor some of his kicks in the first half were shocking!!!
mat_j101 Posted 19 February 2006 Posted 19 February 2006 I'm undecided. I've been calling for Hendo to be started for a while, but I went yesterday and he didn't look as safe as he did last time. he might just be a bit rusty, but i'd like to see him started for a few more games in a row to see how he goes. Hopefully he'll get better with a run in the team.
Knighton Matt Posted 19 February 2006 Posted 19 February 2006 I'd stick with Hendo for now. His kicking might not be the best but then Kasey Keller's kicking was always dreadful and it didn't stop him going to become a great LCFC goalie.
Leicester_Mad Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 I feel that Kelly goes with players in form over players with better ability - Look at Smudger at the minute. Hendersen will stay in for a while me thinks
shen Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 just a shame Hendersons kicking is beyond poor some of his kicks in the first half were shocking!!! How hard can it be to lump a ball and keep it inside the boundaries? Goalkeepers astound me sometimes...
Steven Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 keller was class at his best!! Not really especially in the season before he went to the World Cup. <_<
Ric Flair Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 How hard can it be to lump a ball and keep it inside the boundaries? Goalkeepers astound me sometimes... Especially when kicking out of your hands aswell. From goal kick, although it ahouldn't be hard for a professional player it's a little more tricky than a simple punt from out your ahnds. Henderson excelled himself in all kicking on saturday, it was pure comedy.

Chrysalis Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 rather poor kicking then howlers that cost us penalties and goals.
holly Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 well hendo's kicking isnt great but rabs isnt exactly special either, i just think he needs some time between the sticks and the confidence will come therefore making him better, and hopefully improving his kicking!
Phube Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 well hendo's kicking isnt great but rabs isnt exactly special either I think we were really spoilt with Ian Walker, whatever you thought of him his kicking was fantastic, in our promotion season nearly every goal (eevn though it shames me to say it) was his kick (hoof) to Deane/Scowy onto Dickov, goal!! Every kick went exactly where he wanted it to go!!
Anish Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 Yep, Walker's kicking at times was superb and was a vital part of our game in the promotion season - yet still some people (on here) complained that his kicking was poor.
andyh1884 Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 I saw Conrad Logan running up Soar Valley Way at about 8.30 this morning with Mike Stowell and one of the other coaches. I say running with, what I mean is he was about 250 yards behind them looking almost dead while the other 2 looked barely out of breath. He could be getting his fitness up for a first team appearance, or just getting some extra training in. Mind, bearing in mind he's been out with Boston, you wouldn't have thought he'd need it. Gave stowell a toot, got the thumbs up off him!
Mr_Lavigne Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 Henderson should stay in the team forever.
Leicester City Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 Henderson should stay in the team forever. What's Avril like? If Henderson plays like he did against Leeds again... COME BACK RAB!

So if thats all you've got on Rab he can't be doing that bad! Rabs only problem is that he doesn't control his area as well as most top class keepers but i'd still put him in the top 10 of this league

I would want him in the team ahead of Henderson.

Cobbo Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 Rab and Hendo out! Conrad in Watch him start a trend of bleached hair only for the idots to realise it's natural!

The Albeano Kid, could be the start of a blockbuster phenomenon. Who would play the Mr Miagi type role? Could we 'Oriental' Mike Stowell up abit?
Cobbo Posted 23 February 2006 Posted 23 February 2006 The Albeano Kid, could be the start of a blockbuster phenomenon. Who would play the Mr Miagi type role? Could we 'Oriental' Mike Stowell up abit? We bloody could. And evil Rab and Paul will try to deliberately injure him, but he'll play through the pain using his magical red eyed powers.
