I'm just looking at tomorrow and Osasuna can be found at odds of 4.50 for their away match v Betis. For saying they have recently taken points off Real Madrid and Betis have no win in 11 this is pretty decent. If that doesn't appeal you can get Osasuna or the draw at 1.95.

Looking good............ :fc:

13/1???? What bookies did you used and was it online or in the shop?

Knew Wigan will win today to spite my nose! Won with one slip today so I can't moan.

My 6 year old nephew had his first bet today. All of his five selections lost. School of hard knocks

Hopefully thatll put him off. Not sure i feel too comfortable with a 6 year old understanding betting

I don't think he understood much about it. He dont even like football. I'm guessing a quick slip just got shown him and he picked 5 selections at random and a silly quid got put on.

I wasnt passing judgement or anything by the way, i just really hope its something he doesnt get involved in. Sounds hypocritical of me to say that of course

I wouldn't mind to be honest (when he's old enough, or just about) me and all mates bet within our means so as long as he was the same I dont see a problem. Obviously it could go wrong too.

Oh of course, done the right way its fun and enjoyable. Its when it crosses that line and people look at it as a way of making money from nothing and getting in deep that people have serious problems. By then its too late though

I think it was an incredible day of betting yesterday. The results were predictable. I have a mate who won £100 from a £1.50 stake and someone else that won £500 from a £1 bet. Loads of results that I had a gut feeling but chickened out from betting also came in.

Got a classic story of when I used to work in a bookies. Was young and stupid! Me and a colleague decided it would be a good idea to win some 'easy money' we saw a football match and the odds for them to win were something like 1/4. I think it was a Russian team. Might have been zenit. We banged £400 on it. The scary bit was it wasn't our money! It was from the safe. So you may have guessed... They lost 2-0. We now have to win this £400 back. So we turn to horses. £200 on a 2/1 would win it all back. Horse loses. Safe £600 down. £300 on a 2/1 horse shortly follows. It lost! Safe £900 down. £450 on 2/1 horse. It lost. Safe now £1350 down. You can imagine how we are feeling now. Not only are we going to get sacked... The police will surely be involved aswell. The stakes on horses now are becoming ridiculous. £750 is the next bet on a horse at 15/8 or something. They are now having to phone up to check if they can place the bets ! We were taking it in turns to place the bets in different bookies around the town. When asked how we had so much money we said we won a load at casino the other day! Anyway you May have guessed the £750 horse lost. It lost well aswell. Came last! We are now completely shitting it. The safe is £2100 down. Prison awaits us let's be honest! I suggested just handing ourselves in to the police but we agreed we might aswell go 'all out' our next bet was something ridiculous like £200 each way on an outsider. As a lot of outsiders were winning this day. The favourite wins! Nothing is going our way. The safe 2 and a half grand down. While all this is going on we are having to serve customers in our bookies like nothing is happening and putting on a smile! We agree to stop betting on horses and revert back to football. There is £2500 left in the safe. The only option is to put it on an evens money football bet. There was a late kick off this day. I can't remember who they were playing but we bet on Doncaster rovers to win at 11/10. They won 2-1. The bet returned £5250. Safe is 5 grand down so we put 5 grand in and keep £125 each! Never been so close to prison all my life!!! When I look back it is a bit of a classic story. But very very scary!

Wow that's extraordinary! Scary stuff

Just proves though that if you have an endless pot of money you can never lose at betting. Obviously we didn't have an endless pot! But if you have billions you will always win it back eventually. But bookies will start limiting stakes. We used to have to 'monitor' customers. So they can track how much they are winning or losing. If the customer was winning quite a lot then they would end up only being allowed a small stake on a bet. Basically to get rid of them. It isn't fair. You can never win against the bookies if they don't allow bets from winners.

Negredo is evens to score anytime against Newcastle. Man City aren't as fluent away as at home, even if they have started winning, but with Newcastle missing half their defence, he must be very likely to score.

Or just plain stupid. But at least you didn't get into any trouble.
