Thracian Posted 23 February 2006 Share Posted 23 February 2006 Davie Gibson (everyone wanted to imitate him) Arthur Rowley (most amazing left foot) Frank Large (no idea how to play football but ran through anything to score off anything!) Frank Worthington (spent a career saying if you've got talent lifestyle means nothing) Derek Dougan (Irish humour and talent to match) Gary Parker (inimitable) Steve Walsh (when they do his post mortem his heart will be blue with a fox on) Steve Claridge (Jack the Lad and the moment of a lifetime) Ian Marshall (Lethal weopon in slow motion) Lee Morris (source of endless amusement for a bloke who never plays) Zeljko Kalac (Black Widow Spider for Crystal Palace) Dion Dublin (teammates say he'll never be remembered for his football!) Gerry Taggart (Just Gerry) Robbie Savage (Trouble would follow him into a convent) Lenny Glover (Those who saw him would forgive him anything) One for the future: James Wesolowski (Chirpy even with a broken leg)

surrifox Posted 24 February 2006 Share Posted 24 February 2006 Kevin Campbell on loan as a 19 year old- heartbreakingly brilliant Chris Garland-priceless goals to keep us up circa 1974 Peter Rodrigues - scoring an own-goal with a flying header that MOTD showed endlessly that season(!) Matt Elliott- 2 goals in a cup final and a colossus in the prem. a journeyman English pro amongst highly paid foreigners Keith Weller,Frank Worthington,Steve Kember, Birch -gave the impression they would have turned up for a game just for the sheer enjoyment of it and enough dosh to buy a few rounds of drinks and a kebab Steve Walsh- we shall fight them on the beaches we shall never surrender

A real ding dong of a game, Keith Stevens nearly landed on me in the Family Enclosure as he tried to escape Agnew's death grip and slaps. Usually placid Family Members were raining punches down on Stevens. Brian Little tried to substitute Agnew and couldn't, Millwall in Pen 1 were kicking off good style. After the game a huge set-to outside Granby Halls as the Baby Squad plus other assorted wound up scarfers danced the fandango with Millwall fans. Bonkers!!!!
