orod Posted 13 April 2010 Posted 13 April 2010 i dont think our squad is too good for him - yes we have a good few midfielders but when wer starting with loan signings, it means our squad is too small. hed be a quality aquisition with experience, but more importantly i think hel play with heart for city
Salieri Posted 13 April 2010 Posted 13 April 2010 Would be a backward step in my opinion. Not that great the first time.
DanTheFox07 Posted 13 April 2010 Posted 13 April 2010 Or Ambrose. This would be the most likely and he has premier league experience and socred goals there if i remember rightly, been quality for palace all season! gudjohnson would be an option but i doubt pearson is intrested!

According to the Daily Star this morning, Pearson and Joey may be part of the same set up sooner than you think!!!
sg6 Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 According to the Daily Star this morning, Pearson and Joey may be part of the same set up sooner than you think!!! BURNLEY are ready to move for Nigel Pearson – if Brian Laws fails in his survival mission. Leicester boss Pearson is facing an uncertain future at the Walkers Stadium and the Turf Moor club are preparing to pounce. Pearson is running out of patience with chairman Milan Mandaric as contract negotiations continue to drag. The Foxes boss, 46, has been promised a new deal as a reward for leading Leicester to the Championship play-offs but is still yet to sign. And Burnley will target Pearson this summer if Laws cannot prevent relegation back to the Championship. The Clarets will only have to pay £300,000 in compensation to prise Pearson away from Leicester.
jonw88 Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 LINK Given that this is published in the Daily Star, hopefully it's not very credible. Although the time he's taking to sign a new contract is getting quite worrying. Anyway, why would he want to go to the shit hole that is Burnley? They're gonna be relegated back to the championship in all likelihood, the same or worse than where we'll be next season. Would seem like a step back for him after he's got his own settled squad here.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 I swear that Pearson said he would worry about his contract at the end of the season a few months ago did he not?

Jimmy Posted 15 April 2010 Posted 15 April 2010 Burnley, eh? Massive club. a club with no debt and loads of money to spend on attempting an instant return to the premier league versus a club operating on a small budget with an interfering chairman who will do well to finish mid table most seasons...

A club with no fanbase, thin squad, little hope of every getting so lucky again and not willing to chuck away the cash it was so lucky to get or stay where you are building a decent reputation before moving onto something bigger.... Oh and a star player who is about 90.

Oh and a star player who is about 90. so what, either way unless we win the play-offs, they'll have a better chance of promotion to the premier league then us, achieving that, no matter which club he does it with would look good on his c.v. 07/08 season: Saved Southampton from relegation 08/09 season: Won League One 09/10 season: Made the Play-offs-finished/finished top 10 in championship not a bad looking C.V. already add to that a promotion with whomever and it looks even better.
Daggers Posted 15 April 2010 Posted 15 April 2010 they'll have a better chance of promotion to the premier league then us Like Middlesbrough?

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 There does seem to be some sort of a problem between M.M. and N.P., but just what is it?
sg6 Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 He has left Burnley two weeks earlier than when his contract ends by mutual consent. If we stay in the championship next year ( which we wont ) is it worth Nigel taking a look at him, could add a bit of promotion experience, as he achieved it with Burnley last year. What do you think? Sky sports link
dandannieldanok Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 What do you think? No for two reasons: 1) He wasn't actually that good anyway, nowhere near as good as the likes of King and Wellens. 2) He's proven himself to be a disruptive twat, exactly the type of person we don't need at the club. Pearson has got a great spirit within the squad here, let's keep it that way.
