Matt Posted 9 May 2006 Posted 9 May 2006 I know some of you think it's just me moaning again but thats what you think when you see my posts anyway so might as well go ahead .... Last night/This morning around 1am I was a slept and work up to a bang I thought nothing of it and just thought it was next door neighbours car door or something, We are current having our drive block paved and landscapers left 2 bricks on the front, This morning I woke up and found out the bang I heard was a brick lobbed at the house and my car by some pissed up twat from the pub or some chav who think he's hard has come along and thrown it at the house, it's hit the house window and damaged all the beading around the window, and it's put a massive dent and fuked the paintwork in the roof of my car and another dent and damaged paintwork on the side of my car (By the Petrol Cap). There is no sign of attemped break in (To either the house or car) basically its just pointless vandelism...WHY?! Anyway went to the dealer garage today and its too big job for them to do, so went to a local bodyshop firm they said its gonna cost between £500 - £600... My new car (2 or 3 months old) an 04 Polo, costing me another £500 - £600 because of some sad **** who probably can't afford something I have so fuks someone elses up. Thing that makes me laugh is a few months ago in Nuneaton a bloke went out because a Father and Son were vandelising his sisters car and the bloke gets murder because he confronted them...The Father and Son were convicted yesterday...They got 4 years (Father) and 3 years (Son)...Nothing. How come the bastards who do the damage get away with it and innocent people don't? Anyway...Bring on the "moaner" replys ...Got abit of it off my chest anyway

As for your situation, there are unfortunately many mindless tw@ts in this country who ruin things for the majority of law abiding citizens. Doesn't your insurance cover anything like this? Acts of vandalism etc?

Acts of vandalism etc? It is horrific, My mum works in the school where there children go, really sad. I need to look into the insurance policy, I need to check if I have protected no claims (Which I doubt due to my age) and at the same time my excess is about £400 anyway, But I do need to look into that.

Probably the same tool that removed some of our fencing slats a week later. The mental image I have of me driving a steel pipe wrench deep into that person's skull doesn't really compensate me financially, or make me a better person. But it's just how I feel. It's old-fashioned I know, but I was brought up to respect other people's property. I wanna live somewhere else and let the scum just destroy themselves.

Yeah I just wish I realised now and got up, and let them know I knew about him/them, I just wish I could have got a look or even possibly chased them/throw the brick at them, In reality though i'd probably shit scared in that position, and also if I did chase them or throw the brick at them, i'd be the one at fault and i'd probably get sent down for longer/in more trouble than the father and son in the other case I was on about I have reported it to the police but doubt they'll do anything they just said "We'll look out incase there are further cases of it happening"

Last night I had a quote of £500 - £600 and they said they pull the dent out with dent pullers and the fill the rest, This would produce the best job but at the same time very expensive. I do want a good job I don't wanna just pay cheap and crap job but I got 2 more quotes today and they both said they could do a decent job with just filler, and they we're quoting between £300 - £400. It still £300 I shouldn't be forking out because of what some ****'s done but considering I could be/could have been spending £600, not too bad.

Nope, sdon't know who did it but I was kinda hoping (Even though they probably would dare to) they would come back on the Tuesday night because I would have been staight out of bed and downstairs before they know what had hit them...(A Brick Anyway got abit of a surprise today a "Comunity Officer" come round this morning, I was at work but my mum told me about it, basically theres no news on who did it and no-one else has reported anything but the "Community Officer" just come round to check everything was ok and nothing else had happened.
