patterson Posted 29 May 2006 Share Posted 29 May 2006 and get MON back. If Redknapp can return why not MON? Even forest are getting in on the act: Nottingham Forest have chanced their arm with O'Neill as well, trying to tempt their former midfielder into an "emotional return". (The Guardian) my dog tlks more sense than that...
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 29 May 2006 Share Posted 29 May 2006 What a crock of cheese-on-toast bollocks. There's a certain amount of dignity that a manager earns when he does things that RK has done for us. He isn't showing any hint of slowing down either. Have some respect man! Dr The Singh Posted 30 May 2006 Share Posted 30 May 2006 Why? Ridiculous, MON, isn't going to come back, the guy was the favourite to be England Manager, comming back would be a big step down for one of the most highly regarded managers in the world. In theory, I would love for us to bring him back!!!

Thracian Posted 30 May 2006 Share Posted 30 May 2006 It's not going to happen. Full stop. It's Rob Kelly's time now. For all anyone knows he might end up the biggest Leicester legend of all. At least we can hope so and stop harking back in such a pointless way.

Jordan Posted 31 May 2006 Share Posted 31 May 2006 Nottingham Forest have chanced their arm with O'Neill as well, trying to tempt their former midfielder into an "emotional return". (The Guardian) How funny would it be if he does indeed return to Forest and leads them to relegation?
Thracian Posted 31 May 2006 Share Posted 31 May 2006 I wonder if MON will eventually become the first manager to become linked with every single club in England.
filbertway Posted 31 May 2006 Share Posted 31 May 2006 If O'Neil came out and said he wants to manage us, would you sack RK then? It's just a theoretical situation, I don't think this would ever happen, jsut wondering what you would do
Thracian Posted 31 May 2006 Share Posted 31 May 2006 No. a) Our integrity matters. We've just given Rob Kelly a contract and he deserves his chance to make his mark. b) We couldn't afford MON anyway. c) There is no evidence MON would manage our players better than Kelly and there's no serious money to change the situation in any drastic manner. d) Kellly might yet be our most successful manager ever. He certainly started off far better than MON did when he was here and the considerable achievement of avoiding relegation earned Kelly the right to an opportunity which shouldn't be denied him for anyone.
