davieG Posted 4 July 2006 Posted 4 July 2006 Of course we can all say promotion, play-offs, but I have 3 hopes: 1) That Leicester City have a player leading the goal scoring charts 2) That Gareth Williams shows us that his not a wasted talent 3) That we get at least 5 gates of 28k plus in the league duirng the season. This will not necessarily guarantee promotion but will I believe demonstrate that we are seeing some exciting football in a great atmosphere. What would your 3 hopes be?
crazy horse Posted 4 July 2006 Posted 4 July 2006 RK proves my gut instinct wrong that he wasn't just in the right place at the right time WESO fulfils the dream that we may have a genuine prospect HUME/FRYATT become the new weller/ worthington
Isopen Posted 4 July 2006 Posted 4 July 2006 HUME/FRYATT become the new weller/ worthington What that one of them shags everything in sight, while the other wears white tights ?
Swedging Posted 4 July 2006 Posted 4 July 2006 1. Our seats aren't surrounded by tossers. Especially not the racist commentator behind us last season. 2. We get our fair share of outrageous last minute 1-0 wins. 3. Last match of the seson, we rob some team of promotion/a play-off place and they all cry.
Scow Posted 4 July 2006 Posted 4 July 2006 1) Skills receives a deserved call up for the Swedish national team. 2) Tiatto to play no part at all. 3) To stop conceding goals from bloody set pieces.
Manwell Pablo Posted 4 July 2006 Posted 4 July 2006 Cup run would be nice. Embrasseing Cov on their own patch on Teley would be good too. a bit of noise at the walkers ala Plymouth @ home on a regular basis is my biggest hope, it would probably actually make me think about investing in a season ticket next year as well.
The People's Hero Posted 4 July 2006 Posted 4 July 2006 Cut down sloppy conceded goals especially from set pieces. Become a genuine goal threat from our own set pieces. Good cup run. Go out trying to win games.. not trying to draw. Better atmosphere at games.
Nationwider Posted 5 July 2006 Posted 5 July 2006 What would your 3 hopes be? For Matty Fryatt to score at least a goal every other game. For the Sunderland match on Sept 16 to be postponed. For Kelly to find a settled, balanced team.
Thracian Posted 5 July 2006 Posted 5 July 2006 a) For Leicester to score over 75 goals and challenge for promotion. b) For 4-5-1 to be abandoned in disgrace and a return signalled towards the exhillerating football of the 60's c) For fans to fill the ground because of the above.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 5 July 2006 Posted 5 July 2006 Fryatt and Hume to both chip in with at least 15 goals each. Johnson to provide that missing link in controlling the play from the defensive midfield position and breaking up opposition attacks. Set pieces. The ball's coming into the box. Do something.
Fox in a Box Posted 5 July 2006 Posted 5 July 2006 Forest relegated Derby Relegated Us to win the double FA cup and Championship. Ahhhh
Guest Gist Posted 5 July 2006 Posted 5 July 2006 1) Have a good run in both of the Cups. 2) For us to challenge for promotion. 3) To see us have an unbeaten record of some sort.
Tommeh Posted 5 July 2006 Posted 5 July 2006 1) Beat Cov away on the tele 2) Have a good FA cup run quaters maybe 3) Get a sell-out at the walkers
Collymore Posted 5 July 2006 Posted 5 July 2006 A: Rob Kelly to prove that he can still deliver after the honeymoon period. B: Young Weso to stay injury free and dominate the midfield C: Get off to a good start and understand that we will have a dodgy period within the season. We must not let this dodgy period affect us psychologically like it did under CL.
Dr The Singh Posted 5 July 2006 Posted 5 July 2006 1) Enjoy watching city ie city winning more matches hence promotion 2) Cup run 3) Sell some of our assetts at ridiculous high prices but replace them with just as good cheap ones, hence lower cities debt
Ric Flair Posted 5 July 2006 Posted 5 July 2006 1) Fryatt not to be sold 2) Wesolowski to stay injury free and go on to world domination 3) To be proud of my team next season through exciting football
Durnerz Posted 5 July 2006 Posted 5 July 2006 1) Some bloody Atmosphere 2) Re-discover the fighting spirit we were once famed for. 3) The under-performers to justify what we pay them.
The Don Posted 5 July 2006 Posted 5 July 2006 Attacking players all over the park 197 goals in the season Sheehan playing left back all season, no matter how well he plays Team full of youth teamers + smoking section in the ground
TAFKA Castroneves Posted 5 July 2006 Posted 5 July 2006 1. To see the true potential of certain players: I'd love to see this season a settled and on-form Mark de Vries who could be a very compitant third option behind Hume and Fryatt. I'd like to see Momo Sylla stop being lazy and show the potential he could very well have (although that's still dodgy). Gareth Williams to have a solid season without big increases and decreases in his performance. Rab to solidify and prove himself as a keeper who can be good in the Championship and so on. Just to see players who haven't really proven themselves the last two seasons give it a good go. 2. The Atmosphere We need an atmosphere behind this team, the Walkers needs an improvement in atmosphere - but the team must give the fans a real lift, and a good start to the season could make this possible. 3. A Solid Season We don't need promotion this year, we don't need playoffs this year - we need a blooming solid season. The last two seasons we have been on the verge of relegation and I certainly don't want that as well. Mid table is absolutly fine by my standards, lets see us do fine rather than crap.
Solihullfox Posted 5 July 2006 Posted 5 July 2006 1. To hear oppo managers saying how much they fear our goalscoring attacking play. 2. To see us playing proper football with our midfield firing on all cylinders and our defence being tight and a threat at our set pieces. 3. Weso becomes an integral part of our positive performances and stays injury free all through the season. I haven't said I want to see us win many more games or get the atmosphere back to where it should be because that will happen if we achieve the above. P.S Also for one of the food kiosk staff to be able to understand english clearly - ridiculous I know.
Fox in a Box Posted 5 July 2006 Posted 5 July 2006 Johan Cruyff to purchase house in Oadby. Oadby, full of Owls??? why Oadby.................
Foxes_Wizard_Striker Posted 5 July 2006 Posted 5 July 2006 1-Gareth Williams to became midfield general,De Vries-a target man who scores from bench regularly and Syalla,Hamill and Tiatto trouble the opposing full backs all the season. 2.New signings settle in well and no one was sold resulting in a nice and solid season near the playoffs 3.No annoying last minute comebacks
