DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 10 July 2006 Posted 10 July 2006 I wonder what Materazzi could have said to prompt Zidane to ram him like that? That kind of thing is almost unheard of. Does anyone know the exchange of words that happened?
Katy Posted 10 July 2006 Posted 10 July 2006 Warra berk! He cost France the World Cup and Cobbo £16 quid
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 10 July 2006 Author Posted 10 July 2006 That's what I mean! He must have been pissed at Materazzi:

Alexikokopops Posted 10 July 2006 Posted 10 July 2006 Absolutely fantastic, made the World Cup for me. Zidane, the jugganaut, no one's gonna stand in his way.
C-man Posted 10 July 2006 Posted 10 July 2006 Zidanes done it before though, he's just generally a nutter, literally.
The People's Hero Posted 10 July 2006 Posted 10 July 2006 Zidanes done it before though, he's just generally a nutter, literally. This is true.
Guest Gist Posted 10 July 2006 Posted 10 July 2006 I was in shock when I seen the replay I couldn't beleive it why would anyone do that on there last ever game especially in the World Cup final ....... what a tw@t!
Libertine Posted 10 July 2006 Posted 10 July 2006 Truely shocking but at the same time hilarious. After Motty said something about him maybe having used his head, I expected a replay of Zidane touching Matterazzi slightly and him falling over in agony, as frequently happens, but then...this!
Guest Gist Posted 10 July 2006 Posted 10 July 2006 He should have just done more to him if he was that pissed off, it wouldn't matter only a fine which he can most certainly afford. Like you Lib I expected a little nut in the face but he took a run up!
Alexikokopops Posted 10 July 2006 Posted 10 July 2006 I don't think he should be awarded it. I think he should, the World Cup were pretty dissappointing until Zidane pounded Materazzi.
Daggers Posted 10 July 2006 Posted 10 July 2006 Outstanding! I think he was worried that no one would remember him unless he out-Boris'd Boris. What a Johnson of a headbutt that was. Maybe FIFA will point out to players that it is so much more effective if the 'butt' connects with the face of the opponent? Until they do this is just another example of how FIFA is ruining the game for us all and making a mockery of our players efforts.
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 10 July 2006 Author Posted 10 July 2006 Haha, that's awesome! I missed the butt - that's so aggressive! "Yo momma's so fat, you could give a better head than she could!" "I'll give you head, ****er!" WHOMP
Dr The Singh Posted 10 July 2006 Posted 10 July 2006 I thought it was abit of a tragedy. ZZ is a great player and this has marred the last game of his career, one which will be a part of footy trivia all for the wrong reasons!!! What a shame!!
Wils Posted 10 July 2006 Posted 10 July 2006 It was a disapointing way for him to end his career,he has been a quality player though and i think people will remember that although hes a complete tw@T for headbutting him!!!
Shum Posted 10 July 2006 Posted 10 July 2006 Zinedine Zidane's agent says the France captain headbutted Marco Materazzi in Sunday's World Cup final because the Italian made a "very serious" comment. Zidane appeared to react to something that was said and was dismissed for his violent charge into his opponent. "He told me Materazzi said something very serious to him but he wouldn't tell me what," agent Alain Migliaccio told BBC Five Live Sport. Sources in France say it is believed Materazzi insulted Zidane's mother. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/w...nce/5164094.stm
The People's Hero Posted 10 July 2006 Posted 10 July 2006 I reckon it's because his family has been hounded by the paparazzi and Zidane just got the two mixed up.
