you say it was half full...............he may have considered himself half empty and considered himself on the scrapheap.........the lid was left as a memento mori :unsure:

It was found near the telegraph pole outside our front gate. Some fecker moved it and emptied it but WHY? Lincolnshire people are weird :ph34r:

Vote for the one you think is responsible for this crime and they will be duly punished.

I think the bottom one is Ronaldo realising, his bin has been stolen too, but what he doesn't know is that Scolari done it <_<

Does that mean that my half hour spent looking for those pictures and four attempts at posting a reply was all for nothing?

Are you sure it wasn't the bin men that emptied it? When the bin men empty mine they normally leave it in front of the gate so as to give me exercise in moving it to get out.

So you should, people cluttering the highways with their bins is a most heinous crime.

luckily for those suspects, we've not been cursed with wheelie bins.....yet. i'm positive it wasn't the bin men, because a) they're not supposed to go onto anyones property and b) i'm sure the bin was still in its usual place when i retired for dinner, after they'd bin

Now that's a funny phrase

retired for dinner
, Surely one either retires from work or retires to bed, would you get the chance to eat much if you reitre for dinner :P

I just mean they don't leave the bins where they fetch them from. As I work nights I am usually in bed when they come. When I leave for work the bin has not been moved even though the other (care in the community) flat residents have gone to the off license several times during the day.

Saw a notice on one of the bins the other week. Went something like;

'It has been noticed that residents are putting rubbish in black bin bags and leaving them at the side of the bin when it is full. Please do not do this as it is a crime and you could be fined.'

I may be missing something here but I thought it was the job of the bin men to take rubbish away which is why people leave it outside when they are due. If they do not turn up for a fortnight or longer because the bin day happens to be a holiday it is obvious that there will be more to take away the next time they arrive.

i don't know about leicester city council these days, but leicestershire county council used to come on another day. round here they come on the saturday when it's bank holiday. i don't like wheelie bins that much, but i can see the point; land fill sites are filling up so our rubbish needs to be limited, but, to be fair to us we are merely conduits through which packaging companies products pass.

how much rubbish do we actually create?

I've noticed that when i'm in Spain, the bin men etc come very early in the morning, so by 8 oclock the streets are clean and tidy. Road maintenance is done at night as well. But as TPH said we live in England and anything sensible would not do. For one thing getting people to work during night would reqire paying triple time or some other mega wage. this is why people going work at 8 oclock cannot get their cars out or move down streets that are blocked by dump trucks road maintenance vehcles and snow gritters (not in the summer I must add)

the working day is a bit different in spain due to the weather though innit? i would prefer to work early and finish early (or have a siesta) to avoid the hottest part of the day.

talking of gritters, i was following one last weekend???!!!! :S
