Indeed very much undue, just having an opinion on the current board I am not a proper fan, a TOTAL T**T and the evil mastermind resposible for the lack of atmosphere at the walkers.

I neither wish to critize people who go to the meetings but when they come on here with a holyer(sp) then thou attitude its very annoying, they make very little differnce to the club and the small issues they address at these open meetings are designed to keep us occupyied. Discussing the band the, flags, Henry, the slogan and swapping the kop is what they want us to do. Instead of discussing the real issues like the accounts, the lack of investment, the dwinlding attendances, the dyer football and the lack of ambition.

YAWN! :yawn::yawn::yawn::yawn:

According to FootballRumours.co.uk, it was actually Manwell Palbo that suggested Akinbiyi was a bargain at 5m in an Open Meeting with Peter Taylor. Just what I heard, like.

What a crap suggestion. Good thing I won't have to be there to put up with it!

You need something you can look at if you want, but don't have to listen to. Like cheerleaders, who don't chant! The Melbourne Storm girls are honeys ;)

What an age to be growing up as a teenage boy. Many a wet dream. Ha ha :thumbup::thumbup:

Did she still have the pom poms? :P

I think somebody at the next open meeting should propose getting the original foxy ladies back to perform as a one off half-time entertainment. Forget getting old players back, roll out the foxy ladies.

Given that we have at least one old perv in a prominent position at the club, is this REALLY a good move?:unsure::unsure:

Don't worry Ultra.

By my calculations. Foxy ladies circa 1994. 12 years ago. Assuming the youngest foxy lady was 14, they would be 26 at the very least now. Perfectly legal.

You can be first inline to welcome the back.

I can't help feel Manwell Pablo is getting undue stick.

With regards, open meetings, I have long called into question their meaning. Before I get the abuse of, if you go, you can make a difference, cr*p fan you are, stop moaning if you don't go, etc, here are my reasons.

When people attend open meetings, people naturally put forward their own personal views, voting on and arguing based on them. In effect, they vote on what they believe is right for the club, or what they believe other fans want. This is not necessarily inline with what the majority want. Now this is not a criticism of those that go. An example of this is when you Henry is given the floor to speak, based on his belief that the fans want him to play.

Now this is not a criticism of those that attend these meetings. Far from. In my mind, those that go are acting as custodians of the fans wishes. They do a good job. However, would it not be more beneficial to canvess more people's opinions before putting ideas to a vote.

Yes, the argument comes back, you should go to the meetings or shut up. I would argue that the only time you feel you need to go to these meetings is when you feel those acting as custodians of the fans wishes are not representing the fans any longer. That leads to a whole host of questions in my mind of, should the foxes trust be canvessing more fans opinions, and if they do, is an open meeting really needed?

I understand, this is opening a can of worms. I want to make it clear that I think those who go to the open meetings have done a good job and should be commended for getting involved to represent the fans. It just begs the question of are they as worthwhile as we make out, bearing in mind we have the Foxes trust to represent us fans.

Must say I tend to agree woth a lot posted here. However to all of you who say everyone who is a fan must attend these meetings or shut up one point, - If every Leicester fan turned up like you suggest where on earth do you think they would put us all? how long would the meeting last if everyone wanted to speak? and because of that what would actually get done?

And there, ladies and gentlemen, is the reason football fans are getting "more boring". Coonts like that.

St. George's cross bikini woman signature, petitions for St. George's day, English patriotism, great. Walks out on his national team because some moron had a trumpet? Grow the fock up.

The real reason football is getting "more boring" is because it has sold it's soul and many of the true fans have been driven away by expensive ticket prices & football grounds now tend to be full of jester hat wearing, face painted, flag waving plums who have no passion for their club or football in general.

And if I don't want to have some tw@t blow a trumpet or bang a drum down my ear for 90 minutes, then how does that make me any less patriotic?

Followed England before the band did that's for sure.

Bang on old son.

The post Euro '96 football fan makes my blood boil, they have taken over the asylum and then some.

The lads who I used to stand with at Filbert Street were from places like the Eyres Monsell, Braunstone, Saffron Lane, Queniborough, New Parks, Blaby, Countesthorpe, Wigston and Oadby, but now they can't be arsed or afford it anymore. In those days we'd have a day of it for no more than 30 quid, beers, food, football, beers. Now it is 30 notes just to get in your seat and be told what to do by some tube in a flouro-jacket.

The Club don't want people like us anymore, the lads who should be doing what we were doing are priced out because they are viewed as riff-raff. Also they won't take the shillo dished out by the muppets who run the Club.

One thing is for sure some erse strikes up a band and I'm away, I'll go to Topps Park and watch Oadby Town.

Manwell....... The people (TDavies etc) happened to have saved out club a while ago.... now grow up a little and have a decent point of view.

Football is for fans of all ages 5-105 years old, and some people might actually have a difference of opinion too YOU.

I Have supported the club since 1982 my first match and the only thing i bother worrying about is the points we have on the board.

Bands, Music, Dancers, Lottery's, Flags, whatever some people MIGHT ACTUALLY LIKE THEM.

I have a nephew aged 7 who thinks the flags are excellent I cant stand them..... he hates the music I like it.

Join in the fun ... go on be brave.

PS I dont like your avatar.....change it mate its rubbish!

It is? I was 4 when I went to my first game and my daughter was 3 :dunno:

Ive read as much as I want to read of this thread, it's getting annoying and the same thing being said over and over again (Thracian stylee) Drums are annoying to say the least as are trumpets and the like. If there's something to sing about during the game then ill sing, there's some smashing 'proper' fans in F1 who sing throughout the game which is great but I dont want to sing all the time personally and that's my choice. Id feel more aggrieved than inclined to sing if there was a band there, but again that is my opinion.

Well if their you bloody views then go and tell the **** club or shut it.

i did not go to the meeting because I dont have any seroius issues with the club atm.

Im not saying that if you dont go to that meetings you shouldn't be classed as a proper fan or even not be aload to have a voice but spending days on hear non-stop aint gonna get anything done is it?

Im sorry but I cant stand people like you that have ruined football because you moan at EVERYTHING and you call they proper fans "happy clappers":nono:

especially as I hear that our good friend Horny Henry Shipley fancies a bash with his mates at busting out a tune or two
Just to clarify thhings here....

The band the club is proposing is some drums, and maybe a trumpet a la Sheff Wed/England.

Henry mistook this for a marching band, said people missed the pre-match and half time spots, and said that he'd formed his own oompah band, and that would play if requested. For free, as well. Andrew Neville did try to clarify the situation then, and the vote was based on the first style.

For the record, I voted against.

The fans will create an atmosphere when there is something to cheer about, I'm afraid. It doesn't take a genius to work that one out, and people will not start singing just because some guy is banging a drum.

GET IT :) Remember my post about getting a bang atleast people agreee :)
