Apart from Walsh and Elliott:-

Frank Large always seem pretty hard to me, Frank McLintock never shirked a tackle, Dougan was definitely a tough nut, despite his good humour and I doubt there'd be many push Heskey around despite the ease with which he fell over. Everyone bounced off Ian Marshall and Andy Lochhead didn't look soft either.

Frank Large was fearless, he headed balls off of Centre Half's feet, he tackled them in their box and generally put himself about. He was not blessed with silky skills but he was the bravest man I have seen in a blue shirt.

I'd love a video of Large in a City shirt hurling himself into the box. It was like Popeye after a tin of spinach, with bodies everywhere.

Glad someone else remembers him.

what a bloke , i was quite disappointed when we traded him in for alan clarke,

i think he went to fulham for about 50k of the 150k paid for sniffer

dont think he did much after leaving leiceter and i think went back to the cobblers where he'd had a few spells previously

oh,... graham cross and jeff blockley were a couple of tough cookies

Akinbiyi could definitely take care of himself. If his goalscoring ability had been anything like his physique, we'd have been on to a winner with him

As well as strangling Wise, I remember Taggart did the same to Savage in a home game against Arsenal. I think it was in 2001 under Taylor.

That was fairly amusing.

Like wise Thace. I met him once, he came to see my dad about repairs to his car, and from then on he was my hero. He had a fair goal return if I remember, he used to knock them in with any part of his body. Usually ended games with a cut or a lump on his head. True grit for 30 quid a week (or something similar).

You're right about the goals. Not sure he ever scored conventionally with his foot. They either went in off his knee, his arse or they rebounded in off someone else. And the car park attendant should have had more sense than to leave his car on the pitch during a match now you mention it!!!:D

For me is either Walshy or Taggs,

I remember someone telling me that Bob Hazel smacked a Ref or another Player in the nose is this correct?

He did. Not for us though. :(

Hazell was a Mr T lookalike, whom you messed with at your peril!

Still not as hard as Coatsworth or Walsh, though.. lol

Without a doubt the hardest man to pull on a Leicester shirt was......

Mick Galloway!!!!!

Anyone who can take on Duncan Ferguson and win is good enough for me.
