I can honestly say that I'd love to see this happen for us. We need to pay off all of our debts, turn a corner and start making money.

I used to be sceptical of any sort of takeover, but we need something drastic to happen, something to breathe a new lease of life into our club, something that'll make the players believe they have reason to perform and something to give them fresh confidence.

Ok own up who else has voted no? You're totally messing up the figures now :D

'Twas me. I think Mandaric's success with Portsmouth needs some careful looking at. Basically, his first success came with Portsmouth's promotion. The money invested wasn't massive - around £5 million - and was more to do with getting Redknapp in. He then drove Redknapp out and in due course, everything went to sh*t.

Second success: Portsmouth have stayed up. 3 mighty flukes - but most of all last season. Which revolves around three things: a mighty slice of luck, getting Redknapp in and getting Gaydermak to finance the rebuilding of the squad (because, by some accounts, MM couldn't afford to do so). Without which Portsmouth would be just another Wolves, Leeds, Leicester or West Brom.

Now I can take believing that he'll bring luck and Redknapp here. That's fine - but probably implausible. But Gaydermak is truly fecking dirty money and you have to wonder, next time he sells out, how low can he go? Success for the team is not, for me, at the expense of all integrity. I try and refuse such corruption when I work - why should I accept it in my leisure time?

Well put arguement.

Problem being that we're not really in a postion to be picky about who puts their money into this club.

It also had a lot to do with the fact that the collapse of ITV Digital meant that nobody else in the league had any money to spend that year.

Indeed. The poll results suggest we have 100+ sleazebags following our club. I have nothing but contempt for them. I cannot accept they are true FOXES. :(

Right bollox to this, I can't be arsed to read any further to find out if someone has answered you.

Where the hell were you last week? Portsmouth were one of the clubs featured in the bungs scandal. Until the allegations have been cleared up we shouldn't be going anywhere near any of the personnel involved.

Yes Kevin Bond and Harry Redknapp and yet it proved nothing, whether you or I hoped it would it didn't.

A lot of clubs have come close to bankruptcy because they fell victim to predators and spivs who promised them the earth but delivered nothing.

Yet he came in and saved Portsmouth and taken them to heights they haven't seen since before World War II. Why would we possibly want that?

I don't think Steve Claridge or Alan Birchenall would agree, and I trust THEIR record in football far more than I do Mandaric's.

Oh please are you serious?

Steve Claridge the man who has gambled away over half a million and has a managerial record to laugh at. I think Claridge is great, but to class him as a serious authority on the business of football is laughable.

As for that grade A mongoose that is Alan Birchenall his opinions are about as valid as a 3 pound note. The fact that MM wasn't taken in by that gimp says a lot about him, but even more about you.

If we fell into financial trouble again the league would make damn sure that we'd never escape. Can we really trust Mandaric not to leave us in the lurch?

Well when he left Pompey he had sold them to someone richer than him, what more could you ask?

If Portsmouth are REALLY that great, ask yourself why Mandaric wants to leave.

Have you never fancied a new challenge and despite our current prediciment I would still wager we are a better prospect to develop than Pompey.

I find his posts funny, not offensive, because it is amazing that anyone can be so at odds with the world and yet still believe they are right...a trait found in lots of boys hitting puberty I believe. Expect him to do lots of door slamming, shouting in a broken voice and develop acne too.

I eventually read some more and with some remaining doubt voted with my conscience and against Mandaric. But don't feel like Ultra at all. Quite the contrary.

I have 100% respect for anyone who travels to watch Leicester City play the sort of football they've been playing these recent seasons - and that goes for my harshest, most persistent critics.

Furthermore if Mandaric arrived and did well I'd be pleased for him and for the club and the fact that if 96% of those fans think he should come it means they are quite possibly right and makes me even more irritated for having my doubts and my concerns about the future of our emerging young players.

Anyway, whatever transpires, Manwell will doubtless remind me what a mug I was when the time comes and doubtless I'll hope he gets something wrong that I can at least chuck back at him! :D:D:D

Clueless, utterly clueless. It is our only way out. Why don't you become a spokesman for the Foxestrust

Don't link me with the Foxes Trust thankyou. I just don't think he'll be the Fairy Godmother you expect. It is our only way out of what? Bankruptcy? Now who's being clueless? There are various potential ways out. Question is which way is best.
