Yes they have, various financial questions were featured in the Q & A with Andrew Taylor which we published on our website. As a shareholder we get a regular financial statement, we have the Observer at board meetings, a representative on the Audit Committee, so we are well informed of the financial standing. However we won't ever post all of the information obtained on message boards, that could damage the club as an example when negotating with other clubs.

Ripping your dunghampers off and taking him round the back of the pub may not be the best way of seeing him down the aisle, nor the best way of seeing what whether what he wants is in the clubs best interests. If we are to use a marital metaphor, why would you ask for a prenuptilal agreement when you haven't had a first date? There is a time for everything and my view is that it was too early. I do believe that as supporters we have the right to ask questions and as many as we wish but at the right time. I dont own any dunghampers even if I knew what they were. I know what a hood is.

If they published the numbers, some fans would be over the moon about it. Others would say "that was a dumb thing to do, you've told everyone all the financial details of the club" etc. Same suspects - let people know how well off you are, they take you for a ride - or if you're poor they come in for your players and expect a cheap easy ride to pull it off. :pinch:

Then we wouldn't have anyone providing oversight at all.

Derby Fox Posted 12 October 2006 Posted 12 October 2006 I know we have to ensure that any investor has the best interests of the club at heart... but we are talking about an INVESTOR here - not a benefactor... at a time when we're ALL moaning about how the team won't progress because of lack of investment to strengthen the squad. Lets present a positive attitude and Don't scare off any potential Investor... or we'll still be languishing at the lower end of the championship in 3 or 4 years time.
