Tubes Posted 11 October 2006 Author Posted 11 October 2006 England are rubbish! We're going to lose nah i dont think it will be easy but it will be 2-0 crouch and parker
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 nah i dont think it will be easy but it will be 2-0 crouch and parker Seems a panicy formation change to me. Anything less than a win and the formation will be deemed a "faliure" and will never be used by England again .
Tubes Posted 11 October 2006 Author Posted 11 October 2006 I think this will be another 0-0 draw. what channel is it on i thought it was on bbc but thats scotland??
Maybes Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 what channel is it on i thought it was on bbc but thats scotland?? Its on sky sports. As are all the england away games. I rekon we will get a 2-1 win. Im got a sneaky feeling carrick might even score!!
Babylon Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 Sven2 continues the traditions of Sven1. Is he banging Ulrica?
davieG Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 Wingbacks my arse, weakens the defence and adds nothing to the attack. Garbage.
Thracian Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 Just got home. One half was plenty. Why do England waste money on coaches like McLaren? You could write forever about it but its juvenile. I reckon Kelly, McLaren and Levein must have attended the same coaches course.

Thracian Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 Wingbacks my arse, weakens the defence and adds nothing to the attack. Garbage. Utterly laughable. We take the piss out of ourselves. Mind you it would make a great coaches course video. Simple strategy for making to make the opposition look good....
dhermon Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 England 1-0 down and trouble outside the ground EDIT: did i just hear right ? its now 2-0 ???
lookwhaticando Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 It was only a matter of time before it went tits-up. The time has come. I'm hearing it's 2-0 now thanks to Neville.
Wycombe Fox Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 About time too! Gary Neville's first goal in an England shirt!! McClaren out! McClaren out!
lookwhaticando Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 About time too! Gary Neville's first goal in an England shirt!! McClaren out! McClaren out! Congratulations Gary Neville! Tosser. I'm rapidly losing interest in the national side. Thank god I'm not actually watching the game, the text commentary is lame enough without having to watch Fat Frank do Sweet FA, Rooney play like a right knob for the 11th time this season, and so on... That's a great idea for a poll... formations!
Wycombe Fox Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 Don't panic Mr. Mainwaring! Three subs at once? What's the formation now Mr. McClaren? Taxi...and don't bother to shut the door on your way out! Look on the bright side - at least Downing's nowhere to be seen! Bloody hell I'm on a downer (not just because of the football) but it's helping me so please bear with my negativity for a bit lads and lasses - thanks
lookwhaticando Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 You're very much forgiven IoWF I couldn't blame you for being on a downer, especially if you're attempting to watch the game. The formation now, apparently, is 4-4-2 - hence the appearance of two wingers and a striker to replace two central midfielders and a striker. I wonder if he will revert to long-ball tactics as he did at Boro in the UEFA cup final. One-nil down and you're pumping balls 50 yards up the field over the midfield everytime you collect a dodgy pass. That'd be the icing on the cake. The papers will slaughter him tomorrow unless something dramatic happens.
davieG Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 I don't think Neville was to blame for the own goal it was a back pass that hit a clump of grass and went over Robinson's boot. I blame the manager if you play negative unispiring football where you're forever passing it back to the goalie law of averages says it going to go in eventually. Did we have a shot on goal? can't remember one!!! With Carrick, Parker and Lampard in midfield we were as good as playing 8 defensive out field players, not a gram of urgency apart from Rooney who at least looked he gave a fook. Very little skill, no creativety = garbage. I feel sorry for all those poor sods in the stands.
lookwhaticando Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 Lampard's not really a defensive player - he's crap at that. He's supposed to be a more attacking midfielder - similar to Gerrard, which is why them playing together in the middle supposedly didn't work. But in actual fact, Lampard was most probably just crap tonight, as he has been for a while for England - so you were right to count him as a defensive player. I'm beginning to wonder if there really is a link between the return of Rooney and our inability to score/win... the evidence is plain for all to see. Without Rooney we bagged a few, with him we've only scored one... and that was against ourselves.
Wycombe Fox Posted 11 October 2006 Posted 11 October 2006 I don't think Neville was to blame for the own goal it was a back pass that hit a clump of grass and went over Robinson's boot. It was one of those unfortunate things that can happen but I was always taught that if you have to make a pass to the keeper, to aim it either side of the goal just in case. I have scored some cracking own goals at beach soccer by not following that advice though
Daggers Posted 12 October 2006 Posted 12 October 2006 Did we have a shot on goal? 91st minute - nuff said!
